What Soothes Your Soul?

Although psychics are unique in many ways, we still have to balance our own energy, developing our own signature pastimes dealing with stress. A professional psychic’s workload can be intense, using extra mental energy. Therefore, the need to revitalize, rejuvenate and relax are things psychics do in order to recharge and cleanse the soul.

Whether a person is working as a professional psychic, or carrying a big load full of obligation and responsibility, the need to lighten up and sooth the soul is a major must. Believe it or not, my great grandmother, on the other side, has come to me for many years, begging me to find peace of mind. I take this very seriously.

I have always been the type of person who wants to learn from others. Being a professional psychic for the last 18 years, I have gathered a lot of facts and knowledge about the practices of people in the metaphysical realm, including psychics. Psychics are talented people, especially, if they have learned to control their emotional state of mind. Interestingly enough, one does not have to be a psychic to provide productive self comfort, as some people have made soothing the soul a real hobby. Regardless, I have known a lot of psychics who have brilliant and simple remedies for stress.

On a personal note, I have been seeking productive pleasure, tranquility and comfort for a very long time. For instance, I have held on to my sanity and promoted peace of mind from the following: hot aroma baths surrounded by candles, oils and incense derived from the sea and natural earth, sounds of the ocean and rain storms (which I strongly suggest if you have any strong planets in a water sign, I have a Scorpio moon and the sound of any water is like an instant cleansing and natural sedative for me), hot chamomile tea at night, a slice of key lime pie.  Or if I am visiting the south – Midwest frozen custard, sleeping an extra hour in the morning, starting my day using whipped cream in my coffee instead of milk, listening to music with predominate instruments such as harps, violins and flutes, holding the Star of David in one hand, and the Cross in the other hand for my faith, and surrounding my environment with fresh sunflowers. As one can see, these are my simple little things that serve as an emergency pack in order to stay in tune and create peace of mind.

I hope all of you gifted psychics and loyal readers will share your little simple remedies that soothe your soul. It is good karma to share the good things and, when we give “good” to the world, we are also doing something good for our souls. Please give us the pleasure of sharing your little comforts. And, if you are not a psychic, but you have found your own soul-soothing comforts, please post them here and contribute to the “karmic pot.”

Remember, it is the simple little things that keep us going and put smiles on our face. I thank you and look forward to your answers.

Many blessings and wishing you all peace of mind!

Miss Krystal

Here’s a cool story for you! Back in 1985, my friends from work and I were on our way to our office Christmas party. We were walking on 57th street towards 5th Ave. To our amazement, standing at the corner waiting for the light to change was none other than Bruce Springsteen!! OMG!! We were all so excited.
There was a guy standing next to him, trying to talk to him, but The Boss just kind of ignored him (politely). The other girls in my group were too shy (or embarrassed) to do anything, but I knew I was racing against the clock…that light was gonna change! So I went up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and saw me and this group of gawking females. I told him what we were doing, and if it would be okay to take his picture. You can imagine my excitement when he not only said okay, but he grabbed me around the waist and pulled me in towards him, then he grabbed my friend, and told the rest of us to gather around him for the photo!!
I’m telling you, we had the BEST time at the party that year. And I still have that photo, framed and sitting on my wall unit.

Well, I grew up in Hollywood.
I had celebrity neighbors-scott baio, richard prior, wayne shorter, shorty rogers,Joan Van Arc, etc. all lived near me, around my street…when I was a kid…Before my dad moved us to a remote- suburban, planned community, 30 miles north of LA-moved back to the Hollywood area as an adult…
I live near the studios. I grew up around the studios. So when I go to the market, these stars are in the same isle, all the time….I see them driving next to me in their cars…I see them at the mall. I see them out all the time.
It becomes no biggie….You get used to it…If I never met a star, I respect their privacy-But the ones I do know, I will say hello to them…I get more excited over seeing an athlete like Kobe B.,versus, a movie star lol-
I loved that one twilight zone you are talking about..I also really loved the one where the book worm got to be isolated with all the books to read for the rest of his life, until his glasses broke….and he was all alone…and another, the one where the lady helped the kids get away from difficult parents…

Oh, how cool is that?! Did you get to meet anyone? One thing I loved about NYC was that I was always running into some celebrity. And I always started up a conversation with them. Believe it or not, most times I ran into them in the elevator in my office building. I worked for a law firm, and they were always coming in and out.
I liked so many of the Twilight Zone espisodes, but my favorite was the one where the elderly widow kept getting phone calls from her deceased husband. Turns out a telephone pole was knocked over and landed on his head stone at the cemetery! Ooh…I’ve got chills going up my arms!!

Hi Fran, one thing NY transplants like about living here is how close we are to hawaii. ahhhhhhhhh aloha
    I love that place….
I was lucky once, I went on a long plane ride, on a birthday of mine, and my gal pal told the crew it was my brithday. They put us up to first class.
I was shocked….They also all signed a birthday card for me, and gave me a bottle of french champagne with a ribbon on it….So life can definitely throw us some surprises. I can usually get a feeling on when it is okay to fly…I follow my gut. Cheers, Miss Krystal

    Hi Miss Krystal,
In April of ’07, my husband went to Hawaii to do some work for his company. I hadn’t been there is such a long time, and I really wanted to go. But I hadn’t flown since 1995. He was there for three weeks, and he asked me to come out for a few days. I don’t know HOW, but I went. I was so terrified the day of the flight. My best friend drove me to the airport. As I boarded the plane, I could feel my heart racing. Luckily, I set next to the nicest man I have ever met. He literally held my hand the entire flight, and talked to me the whole time, and before I knew it, we landed in Honolulu. I thank God for that man. He was like an angel sent just to keep me company and alleviate my fears.
Oh, did I forget to mention that I flew FIRST CLASS?!?! Yep! I figured that if it was my time to go, I was gonna do it in style!! LOL!! 🙂

I’m sitting here laughing because I can just hear your voice…I like to hear you laugh!
Vampires!! Does Barnabas Collins ring a bell? I would race home the nine blocks I had to walk from elementary school just so I could catch Dark Shadows before it was over. Did you ever see the movie “The Night Stalker” with Darren McGavin as Kolchek? Now that movie scared the pants off me. I will never forget how my older sister tormented me that night (and almost every day and night of our youth!). We shared a room, and as we were getting into our beds, she turned to me and said that my bedsheets, which were a burgundy color, reminded her of the lining of the vampire’s coffin. Oh my God! I let out a blood-curdling scream, and I couldn’t sleep the rest of that night. What can I say…I was very impressionable. Funny, I’ve had spirits in my house, and they didn’t frighten me half as much as that vampire movie did.

Have you seen the new movie yet? It was everything I hoped it would be, and then some. See, I just KNEW there was a reason I liked you so much! LOL ;P

Wow, you ARE psychic!! LOLOLOL!! My sister moved to CA in 1980. By 1981, I was working in Manhattan, and I started visiting her every vacation. There was an AA ticketing office not too far from my office, and after I made my reservations by phone, I would go to the ticketing office to pay for my tickets and pick out my seats, AND my meals! I always too American Airlines because they had a non-stop flight to San Diego from JFK.
One summer, I flew out here with my best friend. It was a dark and stormy night (I always wanted to write that one!). The turbulence was terrible. When I wasn’t sleeping through it, I was flirting with the cute male steward (hey, he was flirting back). And I got free drinks to boot! My girlfriend couldn’t believe it.
Now I rarely fly. I don’t like it. If God meant for me to fly, I’d have wings.

I forgot……Yes, Florida’s white sand…I would love to live in Florida from dec-april, and then in california from may-nov…..Now that would be the life!! The best of both worlds….
Growing up in Cali, our sand is not the same as yours. We don’t have the white sand…But we do have the mountains nestled around the ocean….It’s all so lovely….We live in a great country!
I always loved planes….I am glad to know someone else was the same.
The sound of waves is my favorite….
Not sure why I got so excited when I saw planes until I was about 11…Then it changed to boys lol
Maryanne, I believe you about soaking in energy and feeling good from your clients. You are a very healing and understanding soul….A well seasoned psychic, full of human understanding…
Also, extremely business savvy combined with your clairvoyant ability.

    Miss Krystal,
Great article. As a water sign as well (Cancer) long walks on the beach absolutely give me both serenity and energy. I get totally lost in the sound of the waves, the look of the water, and the fabulous white crystal sand.
Actually, reading for clients also gives me a great deal of serenity and energy as well. I feel the energy and messages flowing through me to our clients must “rub off” on me a little, as well.
As a child, I loved to go to the airport to watch airplanes take off and land. Something about that for both of us?
    Thanks for your article.

FOr me it’s a drive to the ocian and a hike in the Santa Monica mountains that lift me up. Also a trick that my guides taught me is when I take a shower, I imagine that all the colors of the rainbow pass through my body. I start with black, go to brown, I feel that I wash all the bad stuff away from my energy field. I work my way through the spectrum until I feel I can have colorless water wash my energy and the physical me. Try it, it’s so restorative. I also recommend it to some of my clients, in order to cleanse their system.
Music like Andrea Bocelli also does it for me.

Fran, Lorna is gonna kill me for this, but our divorce was pretty friendly. I had an Italian lawyer. I can still remember when I went in to sign the papers, my daughter was with me, from my previous marriage. She was 9 years old. I can still picture her dwarfed in a huge green leather chair facing him. He stood up and pointed to her and said, “Now you need to take care of your daddy, he does not know what he is doing.” LOL. So anyway, when it came time to sign the divorce papers, he needed to put something down as cause for the divorce. I honestly could not think of anything, so I had him put down that she was psychic. A couple of days later, Lorna came in to sign the papers and found out what I put down in writing. So, in true Scorpio fashion, she had him put into the document that she was divorcing me because I watched Star Trek re-runs. I had that lawyer laughing even in the courtroom. I will be really surprised if I get away this one lol.

Hi Miss Krystal! I’m soooo glad this blog is up and running again! It’s so nice to be able to keep in touch with so many great people.
I have always loved the ocean. I love the sound, the smell, the breeze…ahhhh Could it get any better than that? Definitely very healing.
My mother would always take us to the beach when we were little, either Coney Island or Brighton Beach. We’d take the train, or the bus. I can still hear my footsteps on the boardwalk and smell the Coppertone that she slathered on us. I’d stay in that water all day until I looked like a prune. That’s where I actually learned how to swim. Sure, the beaches here are prettier and cleaner, but I loved it all the same, and I am so glad for those wonderful memories.

Daily meditation walks, sitting in my get away within my home my Patio Oasis where I can reconnect with nature. Soon I’ll be at the Ocean when the June Gloom period is over here where I can cleanse my spirit and my crystals. I agree Phillip…this post should go on forever! Are there ever enough ways to still the soul, quiet the mind, cleanse the spirit?
Gosh I wanna come visit you all in the big woods! I live in the Central Florida area, in the hill country. Hahaha…I know…you say, hills in Florida, no way. But, we’ve got’em here along with crystal clear springs, lakes, wildlife like you can’t imagine, and only 45 minutes from the Ocean. Plus, I get to garden with all my fav tropical and subtropical plants. For me…it’s true bliss, hot bliss, but bliss for sure. Ya’ll can come visit anytime!
So, nature for me is IT when it comes to refreshing my spirit. Also, anything with water… the ocean, lakes, streams, creeks, bathtubs and even mud puddles or rain! At the end of the day, I climb into my shower and wash negative energy right down the drain! Go for a walk in the rain or walk barefoot in the grass, these are great ways to clear and ground your energy. Walk with your eyes closed and you can clarify/heighten your psychic awareness.
Coffee beans (ground or not) work great for drawing out negative energy, this is especially helpful if you are an energy worker or hands on healer. Just put your hands into the coffee after a long day or tough session and bam, gone is the negative energy!
Burning/smudging sage to cleanse a space works great and a good incense (I love Nag Champa) to attract sweetness into the space, does also. Practicing the art of feng-shui in your environment can really help move the negative energy through and out, not just around.
And surely my input here would be nothing without the mention of gardening. The garden is my personal alter to God, my refuge. I use the garden as a tool to transform negative energy when it’s really gotten me (I’ve got some pretty rough squares in my natal chart, lol) in addition to the idea that life on this planet can be vexing at times, right?
Pulling weeds, turning soil, pruning…these things require much disciplined effort and very hard work, but the result is pure serenity and my version of Zen. After its all said and done, I look out my windows into the gardens, the flowers, the trees…and see how well I’ve done in transforming all those negatives, into something so positive.
My recommendation is to really surround yourself with things you love (colors, art, music, gardens) and remind yourself you are sacred, you need to nurture yourself, too…we help no one until we help ourselves, right?
    With much love and light,
    joyce

    Hi Miss Krystal,
…. The comforts are nice, but this is a very poor area of the country….right up there in poverty next to the Appalachian Mountains.
I have an old farm house ( I’ve slowly remodeled ~ country/victorian), on one acre fenced …I only pay 300.oo per property taxs ,( a big change from Chicago)….but there is NOTHING here…..except the great outdoors that is.
The average income here is 12K per year. The only income decent income here is raising livcestock or farming, however,it IS great place for the retired on a pension….the little businesses only pay minimum wage, people here actually retire from McDonalds, and wait in line to be hired on at places like that, and it was that way BEFORE the economy tanked.
I’m starting to get involved with local small charities, things like making sure kids have coats and shoes for school season for the winter months, the basics, ….paper,pencils,crayons….
    ..etc.
IF I hadn’t spent my summers down here as a kid, it would have been extremely hard to adjust from being in Chicago for so many years.
But I’m used to it now, and find it very peaceful.

    Dear Miss Krystal,
Thank you for such a lovely article. It’s always nice to see how people you’ve come to care about take care of themselves.
I live right outside of San Diego. We have beautiful warm days, and cool nights. When I’m stressed, I LOVE to go out into my backyard once it’s dark out. I take a blanket with me and settle into a lounge chair. My little Bella (our one-yr old chihuahua) loves to jump up on my lap and hide under the blanket with me, while Maddie, our 13-yr old Cairn Terrier, sits by my side.
It’s just so peaceful out there. I love to watch the stars. And every so often, I’m lucky enough to spot a shooting star or two. My ideal place to be would be the beach, but it’s always so crowded. My backyard is my oasis, and I can commune with my angels and with the Great Spirit, and rejuvenate my soul. And it’s even more relaxing when I have a glass of wine to enjoy!!!
Thank you, again, Miss Krystal, and to all of my dear friends on this blog. You mean so much to me, and I appreciate you more than you could ever imagine.

Hi Miss Krystal….I love your beautiful article, could not be said more graciously, I totally love being a psychic, just being able to help people especially during all of the ups and downs that the planet is undergoing, it is effecting people on an energetic level, so through this, it is throwing everyone off balance.
There are several ways that I practice when it comes to clearing and being able to stay balanced, I constantly burn sage and cedar grass, I don’t have neighbors so I don’t have to worry about what they may say, sometimes the smell can of sage smell like something else…Hehehe 🙂
Another practice that works very well, since I’m Native American we believe in drumming and how it keeps you balanced, after drumming for a time or listening to a CD can bring the same effect as a sweat lodge, so when ever I feel out of sorts I drum for a bit and them I’m back in balance and we are good to go….
    Thanks Miss Krystal,

    Hi Miss Krystal,
Yes, this field carries with it great responsibilities, and I also still read for Law Enforcement and Doctors, mainly Psychiatrists, Psychologists, drug and alcohol therapists as well… in my offline CP hours……..
After 43 years as a professional psychic ,I make sure I get at least 8 to 10 hours sleep per day, and meditate at least one hour per day.
But to relax, I go hiking, gardening, and FISHING, playing with my animals, or helping out at the local animal shelter….
I like to fish for catfish, rainbow trout,& bass, I find the sound of the running streams very relaxing and soothing, we have great bald eagles here as well as many species of large hawks, blue heron, that are fascinating to watch……..
Night time is cool too !!!…I like to sit out on my porch and watch great horned owls at night, the bats out at night, and the deer , coyote, and… occassional black bear and cougar… ( from a distance)
I live in the Ozark mountains, right up against Mark Twain National forest and next to also a State Park……so I’m blessed with being in the great outdoors. The nearest large town ….
    ( population,2500) is 47 miles away.
My town has only 800 people..LOL…I live on the edge of this tiny town….on the other side of my town is an Amish settlement. This is cattle & horse and farming country..wide open spaces but also heavily forested, rocky ,mountain areas too. The ice storms are beautiful down here in the winter…everything looks as if it were dipped in clear crystal.
I also love to watch old movies….comedy/musicals….Robin and the Seven Hoods, Can-Can, Irma La deuce,Guys & Dolls, Apple Annie, Bell,Book,&Candle, & Pratical Magic ( my favorite movie because it reminds me of my childhood)…..I’m a fan of Frank Sinatra and the “Rat Pack” movies , Shirley MacLaine, Jack Lemmon …..gee, I’m really showing my age now huh ?
Probably sounds boring to most people….but it suits my need for quiet and peace, and tranquility…..as a professional psychic.
    Blessed Be )O(…Gina Rose ext.9500

Thank you Miss Krystal. What a perfect subject for us all, especially for the readers but with relevance for everyone. For me, it’s the simple things. I have always been a workhorse. But over the past couple of years, I always make it a point to get some down time with my family. My sister lives just a few blocks away and it rejuvinates me to visit her and her animals. My other sister is there often with her 8 year old daughter and I love playing with her. It feeds my spirit to talk to my daughter. She lives about 2 hours away. I have always taught her astrology, and she teaches me herbalism and dietary nutrition. She is my best friend, a Scorpio. Then there are the calls we get from time to time that are so wonderful and inspiring and I feel rejuvenated, energized. I know you know what I mean. A perfect post of useful resources right here Miss Krystal. I hope everyone contributes and it continues on and on forever…
