Are our fears and hang-ups the result of past lives? Sometimes our fears just don’t seem to come “from” anywhere. We can’t trace them back to a specific event in our lives… so where do they originate? Our psychics respond:
“Our fears and hang-ups in this lifetime are the direct result of our past life progress,” answers Psychic Lucrecia. ext. 9326. “For example, a child in the second grade who has so much difficulty that they are held back a year is no different than a soul that has difficulty and will then repeat their spiritual development in part or in whole. You will not evolve completely in this lifetime until you accept that life encompasses the lessons that bring us into being one with the Universe, the Creator. In each lifetime we evolve as far as we can within the lessons we are studying. Look to the simple and you will understand the complex.”
Psychic Fiona ext. 5178 elaborates:
“Yes, many times we do bring fears from other lifetimes with us into this one. I’ve termed this ‘Past Life Stress Disorder,’ or PLSD for short, as it is eerily similar to the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that our war vets and victims of violent crimes experience. There’s little difference between the two, because trauma is trauma, whether it’s from memories of the Gulf War or memories of the Civil War. These fears can travel with us throughout time in the hopes of eventually being dealt with and resolved. What was too painful to cope with in one life can be worked on as a life-lesson in another. As a psychic who deals with past life issues all the time, I can tell you that the flashes of past lives many people experience, along with very clear past life recall, will often take the person to a pertinent event in a past life that is affecting their life now. It’s very common.
“For example, a woman’s fear that her husband will leave her could come from a life they had together in Elizabethan England, when things were very different and she was deserted by the man for his mistress, left alone with small children to raise and no way to care for them. In another instance, a man terrified of commitment in this lifetime learned that he was forced to marry a woman he loathed in twelfth century Persia. A teenager terrified of heights discovered that in another life she accidentally fell off a balcony. Once the connection is made as to why the fear exists, it can be successfully neutralized through knowledge in this lifetime.”
What do you think – can our fears carry over from past lives?
