What is God?

Marie asks:

I’m not sure if the following question is too extreme, and/or controversial, to answer, but it is something that I’m currently struggling to understand and I would appreciate some clarification if possible.

I was recently recommended to read the teachings of Abraham. Instead of feeling renewed and inspired by these readings, I find myself conflicted and confused. Ultimately, I guess my question would be: Is God (from the Bible), and what is referred to as the “energy source” one and the same? If yes, how do I know that what I desire is acceptable? I’m conflicted, because I fear that what I desire would be considered morally unacceptable in my religion.

Hi Marie,

If you ask ten people who or what God is, you will get ten different answers. The question is, who is right? We all hope that we are right, believe we are, and we spend a lot of time trying to convince others we are. The truth is that no one really knows for absolute certain! It is my opinion that God in the Bible is the same as the Energy Source, Goddess, Universe, and all the other ways we choose to identify Him/Her. To me, He/She is an essence that is in all and surrounds all. I feel that the essence is too huge for any of us to completely understand. It is impossible to put He/She in a box, label it and then say “this is God.”

Only you know if what you desire is acceptable. There is always fear when entering new ways of life. One way to know if what you are desiring is “morally unacceptable” or not is to search yourself. What is morally unacceptable to one person could be a religious ritual of another. Every person has their own set of rules for what they feel is right and wrong.

The definition of immoral is… violating moral principles; not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics.

My question is, if there are so many opinions of what is right or wrong, who is to say what is right for you?

Get some paper and a pen. Find a quiet spot where will you will not be disturbed for about a half an hour. Make a list of the people whose opinion really matters to you. Write why you think you want this desire. Take a few moments and follow your breath, allow your thoughts to fall away. Start thinking about your inner desires, pretend as if they are actually happening in front of you. Add as much detail as you can. What are the smells and sights; how would people around you be acting if your desire was a reality? Notice how you feel inside of yourself. Be honest. Ask yourself if someone you looked up to did whatever your desire is, how would you react? Would your desires cause you to look bad at someone else if they did it? Would your desires hurt another person, place, or thing in any way other than disagreeing with someone’s opinion?

Make a list of the emotions you felt and the reactions you feel others would have towards you. Search yourself very deeply. How do you feel inside? What do you believe? Write everything out without stopping to think. Just allow your thoughts and feelings to flow onto the paper. You should be able to sort through your fears and make your decision.

    Dear Marie,
It is my belief that Creator is the “Energy Source” of all life.
There are mystical interpretations of the bible. Literal translation can cause confusion and conflict.
Find your inner understanding of the Universe (Creator) then be at peace. Ask for guidence from the angels who are with us always.
We would not understand what is right, if we did not have an understanding of wrong. The same is true with “evil” and “good”. All serve a purpose in gaining insight about our purpose and path.
The very best to you and many blessings.

    Gina Rose,
God and the Universe knows our hearts….No matter what knowledge we have in our big brains-no matter which scriptures you know….It is A LOT about how we treat others. And the answer is in our hearts…
We need to show mercy. There are kind ways to handle things, people and animals. It all comes from our heart.

I have met so many wonderful people from all walks of life and faiths. All of this has power. However, faith begins in the heart. The reason that some groups do not mix with other groups is because there is an underlying element of fear.

    Thanks,
    Miss Krystal

    Hi,
In short, no matter what religion or spiritual path you follow…..or maybe even none at all,….
…. IF you live your life buy the Golden Rule : Do unto others as you would have them do unto you……you should be ok and not have to worry.

In my religion it is called The Rule of Three…….and the Law of Karma.

When I died and crossed over twice, I saw no specific religion on the other side…it was simply all about love, learning, and giving back.

Religion is only a chosen ” vehicle ” to get to the source or destination…..some people drive cadillacs, some drive jeeps, some don’t drive a ” vehicle ” at all….they simply walk there on their own.

I tell people this : ” If your religion or spiritual path makes you a better person than stay with it…if it doesn’t, then change it .
Follow your heart and concious… if you know right from wrong ( and most of us do), then abide by it.

    Blessed Be )O(
