Our Psychics Advise: Achieve Your New Year’s Resolutions

Blast Into a Successful New Year’s With Psychic Guidance

We asked our psychics: What advice do you have for clients who wish to set and achieve New Year’s resolutions?

Giselle ext. 5220 says:

“I believe in the easy, fun and intuitive approach to New Year’s resolutions. Make some time to sit down with yourself and a candle (or a group of friends/family and some candles is even better) with your laptop or favorite pen and paper and make a list of the ten most important things you would like to have appear in your life.

“Do this quickly, almost like a stream-of-consciousness approach, from your heart and from your intuition rather than from your head. It is better to have a feeling for what you want to manifest than to pick something that your mind thinks might be cool. When you tune into your feelings and intuition, this is generally your higher self and your guides giving you direction.

“You don’t have go into great detail for each one, but just a general statement like ‘I would love to be in love’ or ‘I would love to have my dream house’ or ‘I would love to finish my book’ or ‘I would love to have a new car’ and continue until you have ten things on your list.

“After you are finished with this, and if you feel comfortable, take turns saying each one out loud to your friends/family. It helps to hear yourself say them out loud. Even if you’re doing this by yourself, you can still say them out loud or talk to your spirit guides or higher self. Now take some time to go back over each one and add a little bit more detail if you like, describing your house or love or car in greater detail, and then get a feeling of what it would be like to have this love or this house.

“Ask for your guides or the universe or your angels to help you manifest these things in your life over the next year, and put a date on your list (i.e. I would like to have my list manifest by December 2012) and file it away, but hold onto the feeling of each item on your list, and throughout the months to come tune into the feelings of having the things you wrote on your list in your life. If you like to do visualization, you can visualize yourself in these scenarios, or you can ask to be lead to things that might help you manifest them.

“It is best to stay positive about the things on your list and to not get discouraged if they don’t show up in the time frame you imagined, and accept that what is currently happening in your life is coming in to help you get there. The trick is to stay focused on what you asked for in a light, easy, gentle way, encouraging your intuition to guide you to what you might need to do physically to help with your manifestation.

“It also helps to have an advisor look at things intuitively for you to see if there are any blocks they might be able to help you remove or any insight they may be able to give you from your guides to help you along your path to your resolutions.”

Blythe ext. 5339 says:

“My advice is to set goals in steps. So, instead of a setting a goal of losing twenty pounds, set a goal of four pounds a month or a pound a week. It is manageable and with a weekly goal, it is easier to keep it in your sight lines.

“The same would be for any goal, even finding true love. Break it down into baby steps so you are able to feel you are accomplishing the goal along the way. Make a plan to find this person, brain storm all the available options and then decide what you will do each week to move toward the final goal. Be flexible and open to new ideas along the way.

“Have fun and reward yourself each week for being on target.”

Quinn ext. 5484 says:

“As much as we like to think that a fresh start to the New Year by resolving to make changes or add on ‘will do’s’ is a magic energy most of us find by the middle of February the resolutions, and ‘will do’s’ seem to have fallen to the wayside, leaving a vibration of unfilled goals causing us to throw away the convictions made in good faith to the wind.

“My advice is to have an overall plan for the changes you want to make for new experiences and awakenings for the New Year. Making a resolution is not going to happen without action. A three fold solution to successfully achieving your resolutions is as follows.

“1. Define what your resolutions, dreams, goals or desires are.
“2. Meditate, pray or just think about it in depth, writing down what you have discovered.
“3. (most important) TAKE ACTION

“Keeping our resolutions in perspective to our station in life is also helpful, realizing that you can move forward is a good feelings. There are times however that we need steps to climb to the top and by rejoicing as we reach each step on our journey gives us the faith and fortitude to continue throughout the year.”

I agree with Giselle…….she really nailed it on the head when she stated :

“Do this quickly, almost like a stream-of-consciousness approach, from your heart and from your intuition rather than from your head. I agree with what was said in the article about breaking goals down into smaller goals or steps.

Too often, we focus only on the big picture. If my goal were to lose 50 pounds, and I lost 1 pound per week, then for 49 weeks I might feel like a failure or at the very least I might put off celebrating my progress for 49 weeks.

That’s just making things hard for yourself and it’s a sure way to get discouraged and end up quitting.

Break your goals down into small steps and take the time to rejoice and experience your progress each time you make one of those steps. This allows you to feel successful quite often and that will motivate you to keep going!
