Are There Egyptian Pyramids in the Grand Canyon?

A New Mystery Unveiled?

Is it possible that there might, in fact, be Egyptian pyramids in the Grand Canyon — and what would that mean about our civilization?

Well, at least that’s what one 1909 news report suggested. Didn’t turn out to be true, but it’s fun to think about…

io9 Reports:

Did Egyptians cross the Pacific Ocean and wander the American Southwest thousands of years ago? In the early 20th century, claims of such a discovery were made by two Smithsonian-funded archaeologists, who spoke of a thriving civilization tucked within a series of caverns carved into the side of a remote portion of the Grand Canyon. What did the archaeologists find? What evidence did they bring back? Hell, did these men even exist?

A parallel North American civilization?

A story on the front page of the April 5, 1909 edition of the Arizona Gazette recounted the discovery of a series of bizarre caves and artifacts in the Marble Canyon region of the Grand Canyon. The report claimed two Smithsonian-funded archaeologists, Prof. S. A. Jordan and G.E. Kinkaid, are responsible for the find. As the article noted:

(D)iscoveries which almost conclusively prove that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human hands, was of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt, tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out by the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile, and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the fictionist.

Later in the article, a cross-legged idol resembling Buddha is described along with a large tomb filled with mummified humans: a veritable mash-up of Egyptian and East Asian cultures.

What do you think—flight of fancy, or suggestion of something deeper?

“What is interesting about the hype for 2012 is that we’ve already had the effects of the planets lining up.  The temperatures and weather have started to affect us in the worldwide community.” – Lucy ext. 5353

In 1919-1920 the entrance of the communal cave was at teh same level as the waterline of the Colorado River. A young man was poling down the river when he noticed the cave entrance and tied off on a rock cragg and went inside to explore it. When he left there he contacted an Arizona University professor and reported what he found in the cave. The professor of Anthropology then called the U. S. Army and demanded that the press be kept away from the site. The Army sent a few soldiers to secure the site with orders to shoot to kill any press who try to cross the river to take pictures or view the discovery site. They classified the site top secret and Arizona University collected all the articacts and stored them in a wharehouse so they could study them for 40 -60 years. They declassified the findings in the early 1970’s, giving National Geographic the details of their findings and the conclusion of their study. There were upto 50,000 Egyptian and Asian mixed blood people living in the huge wagon wheel shape communal caverns that were the center of their settlement at one time. I once lived in a rural area near the Grand Canyon and explored it. I have been to the site but the cave entrance is now way up on a cliff face on a huge mountain of rock on the side of the river that is impossible to reach on foot. A helicopter would be needed to drop down on the top of the rock mountain and you would need to repell down from there to the entrance, since the river water level has been dropping from the continuos impoundment of water from the Colorado River in the last half century that has been routed through the cross desert concrete canal that carries it to the Imperial Valley of California for irrigation purposes. They found Egyption sarcophaguses and Asian artifacts and found tempered Copper tools and weapons. Tempored copper is Bronze. There are still modern copper mines in the near mining district I was living in when I explored the Canyon.

This also throws a monkey wrench in the so called “Christopher Columbus” discovered America theory that’s being taught in school. As for it being Asians who erected the pyramids in the grand canyon that sounds like another lie to cover up who really built those pyramids.
I wish the real truth would come out and not all of these lies, the current people who live in Egypt are not the original people of that area and are not the pyramid builders.

It’s true. There are caves in Northern Arizona with clearly carved Egyptian heiroglyphics written on the walls. There they have rested undisturbed for centuries like a time capsule, just waiting for the world to discover them. Awhile back the magazine Atlantis Rising had an article about these caves, with color photos. Pretty impressive. What’s interesting is that the scientific/academic world knows they’re there yet for the most part, ignores their existance, and focuses mostly on Egypt. There were also pyramids and caves with artifacts and heiroglyphics up and down the Mississipi waterway. Because they were unprotected from the passage of time and crumbled away or were destroyed or buried over, few people know about them either. For the most part, nobody focuses on what treaures or information about our unknown history that these digs would uncover. Their existance makes people nervous. Nobody focuses on the caves and tunnels in Central America filled with golden plates with unknown written languages carved on them that the local natives gave to Catholic Priest Father Crespi either. This is the stuff of historical mystery that makes me go, “humm.” People have died trying to bring these findings to light. It must just not be time. As someone with an avid interes in ancient and unknown history, my psychic bloodhound nose leads me to obscure books and documents about these little known civilizations. Current findings indicate that lost in prehistory there was a global civilization linked together with a world grid, electricity, modern communications, commerce, etc, but that something happened, and a world collapse followed and survivors were forced to start over. Nobody knows for sure what it was that happened, but there are scattered clues. In these times it will behoove us to keep an open mind should history be forced rewrite itself. Nothing is etched in stone but the facts, obvious indications that historians keep denying so that the current concept of history will remain intact. Psychics and metaphysicians know that there are no secrets. Like the mills of the gods grinding slowly, things have a way of coming to light with the passage of time and thinking people with the ability to connect the dots will write books, film documentaries, contact each other, speak out and present the facts. Maybe the Galactic Allignment already in motion will part the veil so that we can all see things more clearly.
