I recently had a dream that’s really puzzling me. In the dream, I go somewhere with friends that I can’t identify, but they can’t find me so they leave. At first I think I’m drunk, but it isn’t drunkenness; it’s like I’ve gone into oblivion and don’t know where I am or why my friends have left.
This dream has stayed with me on a conscious level and is very puzzling. My life now is very much in limbo, and I’m seeking work. I’m very involved with lots of volunteer stuff. I would so appreciate it if you could give me some idea what my emotions are saying.
It sounds like you’re at a turning point. I believe the unidentified friends symbolize some talents that you’re unaware of but are trying to connect with. The friends (talents) failed to find you—more accurately, you failed to become conscious of them—so they retreated into your unconscious once again. If you can access them, these talents will undoubtedly help you move forward.
The feeling of oblivion is a blind spot. It could be your inability to perceive a new life for yourself, doing something different than what you’ve done in the past. Your chart shows you’re a Leo, with Jupiter and Saturn in Taurus. Jupiter enters Taurus in June 2011, which means you’ll be experiencing a Jupiter return during the next 12 months. This will be a time of increased opportunities, but you’ll need to step out of your comfort zone and explore your untapped creativity. Taking a class, getting involved in a creative group or exploring your spirituality are ways to expand your self-awareness—and bring forth the gifts you have to share with the world.
