The Simple Method of Achieving Your Dreams
Callers often ask me when they’re going to make more money, get an education, lose weight, or meet their soul mate. Sometimes those callers overlook their own power in these (and other) situations. There’s a simple method for hitting almost any goal, and while it’s not the only method, it’s one that is so successful that it’s used by major corporations, governments, military leaders, and successful individuals all over the world.
You may have already tried the law of magical magnetism, the secret of attracting, the power of positive thinking, lighting candles, visualizing, and swinging a chicken over your head, and had nothing happen. It might be because there is one simple element missing—effective action. The simple method for taking effective action that will make your dreams come true is what I’m about to share with you.
Now I’m not saying that we should do away with the spiritual aspect of manifesting; in fact, taking action is a spiritual aspect of manifesting. Taking action is the key—and why aren’t folks already taking action to achieve their dreams? It’s usually because it seems too hard, too confusing, too overwhelming, too time consuming. What I’m about to share with you can change that—it’s called backward planning.
Backward planning is easy. Start by writing down your goal. It doesn’t matter whether you want to be a rock star, travel the world, or be a best-selling author—write it down. Now imagine yourself having reached that goal. What did you do just before you reached it? Write that down—it’s the final step in your plan. What did you do just before that? That’s the next to last step in your plan.
Let’s say your goal is to buy a house. Your backward plan might look like this.
Buy a house of my own
Make an offer on the house
Contact a real estate agent to find a house
Get prequalified for a mortgage loan
Improve my credit score
Decide what city I would like to live in
Keep going, working your way backward from the end result until you get clear back to where you are right now. Write down each step from end to beginning. Be as general or as detailed as you need to be, but don’t bog yourself down in details. If you aren’t sure what all the steps should be, that’s okay too—just take your best guess. When you get done, you are going to have a step by step plan for actually achieving your dream.
Now look at the last thing you wrote down. That’s your current goal. Don’t overwhelm yourself by looking at the whole big list all at once. You have one thing to do and one thing only—that initial step of the plan. That one, single, simple step will take you closer to your ultimate dream. Don’t put it off. Don’t let anything stop you. Don’t wait for anyone else to do it. Don’t tell yourself you’ll start next week. Let taking this step become a part of your spiritual practice, your faith, your life path, your prayer.
Your plan may take time to complete, but don’t give up. You can rewrite your plan, you can change your goals, you can miss a target and have to shoot again (and again, and again) but do not give up. That isn’t an option if you really want to live your dream.
There are many more ideas you can use to simplify the process of manifesting your desires, and your psychic can guide you in doing that, but if you only followed the steps I outlined above, you would already be well on your way to getting what you want in life.
