Breaking Down Past Life Regression

Past lives are a gigantic topic. I don’t really want to make it too complicated, because I don’t want to dissuade you from getting involved and exploring the topic for yourself. I think that everyone should have at least one good regression in this lifetime. It’s something that will make you think, and really get in touch with the “you” that you truly are.

Past-life regression can help you understand your present life better. It can even help you gain skills you never thought you had access to. The purpose of the beginning “regressioner” should be to go back to a lifetime that has a particular skill that you can use today. Just go back and retrieve it; it is that simple.

It is my philosophy that time is not linear, meaning that it does not move in a straight line. It really doesn’t have a beginning or an end. Imagine time as a circle with no starting point or end point. We, as a species, in our current incarnation, are somewhere on the circumference of this circle. In this model, time is not linear – it goes in all directions. This means that the past, present and future all exist at the same time. It just depends where you go on the circle.

So, in reality, regression is not about stepping backwards in time, any more than progression is about moving forward in time. You are merely placing yourself somewhere else on this circle. Bear in mind that this is a very simple model, but in reality it is much more complicated. I will be covering the time aspect in a later article.

The brain loves steps and the progression of things, especially numbers. We start at one point and we end at some other point. It is easy for us to visualize and accept that concept, and with practice we can achieve great results with it.

Stay tuned for the next installment, an actual regression idea for you to try.

I had the most vivid step into a past life when I was a teenager. Every time I went into a friends house (which had been built in the late 1800) I had such an odd dizzing sensation that I would have to leave. One time when I walked into the kitchen I was suddenly in another time and space and felt like I was walking in a trance. The house was my house, when I was but a small child and my room was upstairs (some place I had never gone in that house before). I went into the room and started pulling and peeling old wall paper off the wall to discover a cubby that contained toys and a doll that I knew had been mine. When I looked to where my bed would have been I saw myself as a child of 4 or 5 years old and I was dying of TB. My parents were there and very upset but I assured them that I would be just fine and I would come back…then I died. The feeling of having drowing,of a crushing weight was on my chest and I could not breath.
then suddenly I was back in real time and the crushing feeling was still there and a great saddness for my parents and I could not stay there but ran out of the house and never came back. The people in the house at the time thought I was a bit nuts needless to say but I knew that I had walked into the life just previous to this one and that was confirmed many many years later as I worked with a psychic. The clock is a good metaphore and one that helped me to discover several other past lives and connect with those who have been with me thoughout my journeys in this world. Most of us are old souls and when you meet someone who appears to be a stranger and yet there is something about them that just clicks with you, know that this too is someone who has shared a life experience with you….perhpas long ago.

My Dear, Though we exist because we existed before, we must focus on the present. That;s the reality of life
our past is just a mere influence of time, grasping that phenomena is head-swelling, or serve-you-right thing simple enough.

    Hi Hern,

Could you please explain to me, what is involved in past life regression? Do you have to hypnotise or do it with psychic abilities?

    Thanks and regards,

Great article, but how do I get a past life regression??? I know I have had several past lives by the different occurances in my present life. I have had scars appear out of nowhere. I have talked in my sleep and was told that I was teaching chemistry, a subject I don’t like and have no clue about, I was auctioning off expensive paintings in my sleep, again, I love art, but don’t have any knowledge of it. I have a deep yearning to learn more about all this but not sure where to start.

    Hi! Hern ,

I like your clear concept of “breaking down past life regressions ” . Death is universal truth of all species including humankind , life after death depends on the past deeds which is also universal truth . Humans according to their past deeds will get a future life it can be human or animal or insects or fish which is again a very complicated and obscure subject to relate . Regressions in the past life , has to play an important role for the post death life . One ought to analyse and understand self , which many humans neglect to do or simply ignore , like we see ouselves in the mirror and look at the face , body and its good things only and tend to ignore the negative body parts , similalry we hardly try to go deep into our mind and soul to search honestly the positive and negative sides of our mind and soul judiciously .

Please do elaborate more about the circle of life and regressions of yhe past life and how it will and can improve present life in a positive direction , thanks & regards, amol

    Hi, Hern,

Thanks for a great article on regression. I agree completely that we can reach into another life to “pick up” a skill or ability that we had or used then and apply it to present circumstances. I find doing that is not like learning something new–rather it is like remembering something we have known all along.

    Sincerely,

    Hello Hiern,

Great article, very informative, you can also gain a past life regression through a mediation done in your own home, just trust the information you receive and go with it.

It can be very exciting and beneficial to take the experience through the lessons learned and apply them to your current life now, it can be like skipping a few steps in life.

    Blessings and Big Hugs!

These are important insights, Hern, and I really look forward to the next installment. I’ve never seen the non-linear concept of time explained so simply and completely.

And I totally agree with you that at least one good regression is a must for this lifetime! Mine was totally life-changing.

    Cheers,
