Royal Wedding Countdown Begins

Welcome to the final countdown before the Royal Wedding! The next five days promise to be filled with mass consternation, endless TV specials and retrospectives, and more media coverage of the event than you can probably handle. Why are we so fascinated by the Royal Family, and their fairytale (or not-so-fairytale)-like existences? Why do they still have so much draw? Is it that, in this day and age, they are less a symbol of power than the greatest reality TV show on the block?

At any rate, you can look forward to hearing lots more about the wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton—who, after all, are well matched with both his sun and her moon in Cancer, a classic pairing…

The Mirror reports:

The world’s media is gathering to capture every detail of the royal wedding for billions of fans worldwide.

As construction of the 10ft (3m) camera platform outside Westminster Abbey gets under way, hundreds of foreign reporters have started providing pre-wedding coverage to the outside world.

The area surrounding the Abbey is already bustling with activity as broadcasters capture the build up to the globally anticipated event and OB trucks move in to media compounds around the venue.

American television channel NBC has set up camp in Trafalgar Square as well as occupying studios outside Buckingham Palace and the Abbey.

Alongside half a dozen large US broadcasters, the channel will be catering for the royal wedding hysteria said to be sweeping its way across America.

Peter Heaps, an engineer working at the multi-tiered media stands outside the wedding venue, said he could not predict how many foreign media outlets would be covering the event but said competition to get “the shot of the day” was fierce.

What do you think—what does the Royal media circus have in store for us?

He made a great choice, I don’t like saying perfect, but, they seem almost perfect together, huh?
I have a good feeling about this union! Cheers, Miss Krystal
