Love Advice: What is Your Love Worth?

Love Advice That We Never Remember

There are times when we get lost in our relationships. Often we find ourselves wondering why we’re in the relationship. Will it last? Will the fighting continue? Do they even love me? Why am I in this relationship if they don’t respect me? We’ve all asked these questions at one time or another. They all boil down to this: What is your love worth?

Hayden ext. 5424: What Do We Deserve in Love?

The best piece of love advice I was ever given actually came from the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. There are several profound scenes in the movie. This particular one involves the lead character asking his teacher basically why some people stay in bad relationships. The teacher’s response was, “Charlie, we accept the love we think we deserve.”

I can’t even begin to tell you the many different levels of the mind this triggered within me. It just made sense. It made me realize that the people we fall in love with are always mirrors of the type of love we believe we deserve. So if we don’t like what we see in the mirror, we really have to ask ourselves, “Is this really what I deserve?” If it’s not then we must be willing to make changes. Are you ready to make some changes in your love life? Psychic Hadyen can help you find your next steps.

Maryanne ext. 9146: You Are Enough

The best piece of love advice I was ever given was to “Never let anyone tell you that you are not enough—not thin enough, not fat enough, not tall enough, not short enough, not funny enough, not serious enough, etc.” This was said to me by a male friend of my boss. I was in my late 20s and newly widowed when I got that advice. Since then, I have been stronger and more confident about myself. I’ve been able to think and feel that I do not lack in any qualities to be “enough” as an employee, a friend, a relative or a romantic partner. Need a confidence booster? Talk with Psychic Maryanne and see what’s blocking the confident you from coming through.

Spencer ext. 5643: Are You Honoring You?

“Just because you miss someone does not mean they have to be back in your life.” My father told me this. He was a cantankerous old coot, so to speak, who kept to himself. When he did emerge and interact with me, it was for just a short period of time, but it was very impactful.

This time his advice was given to me following a breakup I had while in high school. I was missing the boyfriend and was moping around the house, crying and thinking I was going to call them and beg them to get back together.

It taught me the value of my own self-esteem, human emotions and patience. It taught me the value of honoring feelings we have as a person, even if they are painful. It showed me to honor the process of loss, grief and healing. I learned it was a normal range of emotions and to honor it by going through it. It’s quite healthy, no matter how painful it feels at the time.

It also taught me to honor who I am and to always expect to be treated well. It taught me to seek and have the healthiest relationships, not settle for someone just to settle or to avoid being alone. This is defintely good advice. I am so glad to have readthis article. Knowing that I do deserve the best and if its not the being treated well then I don’t have to continue to seek out unproductive relationships. I will have the best in a relationship because I do deserve the best.
