Are You the Rebound Girl?

How to Break the Cycle

No one wants to be in a rebound relationship. Unfortunately this happens to many of us at some point in our lives. Most women learn their lesson after one rebound relationship, but others find themselves repeatedly being the rebound girl. If you have been in a relationship with someone who was clearly not over their ex, read on!

Friends First

If they have recently gotten out of a relationship, the “friends first” policy should always be in place. This way you can get to know one another better while determining where they are at in their healing process. It also allows them to see you as a unique individual as well as a completely separate entity from their last relationship. This is always the best foundation for a lasting bond.

Let Them Heal

The healing process is different for everyone, which is why each of us must take the responsibility for healing ourselves. This means they must do the necessary internal work to feel whole again. There are no shortcuts to this so this could take some time, but you want a complete person to begin a relationship with, not one who is haunted and mired in recollections of their previous relationship.

Friends first? Can you say “Friend zone”. Anytime you start off “as a friend” with someone you usually end up being in the friend zone and never getting out of it.

I agree its exhausting being the rebound guy! The women show at your door just wanting to prove to themselves that they were not at fault in their prior relationship! So you get great sex from them and then they leave…Oh wait thats not bad at all? Its when they stay it gets hard…
