…They Don’t Believe in Lifelong Monogamy

Through a nationwide survey, Esquire magazine surveyed men about sex, theirs views on it, how often they like to have it and so on. Their answers surprised a few of us and we had to share the findings.

At least 66% men of married men and 47% of single men are satisfied with their sex life. However, that seems to contradict a later finding that the one biggest complaint from men (44% surveyed) is that they don’t have sex often enough. On average, men state that they are having sex less than once a week (33%) while closely behind it men are having sex at least one-to-three times a week (32%). For those of you having it more than once a day (3%), we congratulate you. Where do you find the time?

Here are just a few other bits you might find enlightening:
• 58% of men say they don’t believe in lifelong monogamy.

• 18% want to have sex with Mila Kunis if given a free pass to do so.

• 23% say they have had two-to-five sex partners in their lifetime while 22% have had over 20.

• 34% answered the longest they haven’t had sex was one-to-three weeks. However, there are those (22%) who have not had sex in over six months (Come on, guys! Get out there!).

• Texting or emailing sexually suggestive images? At least 89% of men surveyed have not sent a sexually suggestive image of their sex partner to someone else. However, 74% have texted or e-mailed such an image to someone.

• At least 79% have not shot a video of themselves having sex. Interestingly though, 9% still have the footage while 12% say they deleted it (yeah, right).

California Psychics, 58% of Men Say - Graphic

• The best place to have sex outside of the bedroom? 37% say the highly romantic living room couch. Some more adventurous folks said they’ve had sex on a beach (2%) and in a public place (3%).

• How about cheating? 66% of men say they have never cheated once in a committed relationship.

• What if he finds out a friend was cheating on their wife? 45% of men might think less of the person, but it depends on their relationship with the wife, if the marriage is good, and so on. 31% would think less of his friend and 24% think it’s none of their business.

Was any of this surprising? Are you second-guessing your mate?

I am on what appears to be a life long quest to figure out what sex means to me. I can’t separate sex from love. If you are in a relationship that is unfulfilling, is it then that one cheats? At what point do you leave a relationship that you know is not going to last forever? I never was successful at the one night stand. If I slept with someone, that was a commitment, like it or not. But if you are not in love with that person, it won’t last. So, how do you separate sex from love?

A lot of B.S., basically. Most things trumpeted by the media tend to be bogus, and THAT’s the way a lot of us think. Cite your sources, otherwise, it’s all generalizations. who cares? i mean a lot of women have much more on their mind(s) than how often they bed someone.

My husband and I haven’t had SEX in over 4 years, I’m going crazy!!!! I have toys I use when he’s not around but I need that intimate hug, kiss, flesh feeling, pleasure!!! I feel guilty, but yet I feel I am letting myself down. When we talk about it he states, “I literally ache from head to toe, I’m in pain” but that is as far as it goes. Financially I can leave him unless I would file bankruptsy and leave with the clothes on my back, but everything here is in my name and he would not suffer anything but the loss of me!!! He states he loves me, takes me on cruises, trips, and provides financially except for the mortgage, which is my responsibility….it’s my home, my name…everything I worked for. If I asked him to leave I could NOT financially do it!!! Could you help and guide me to the right road of life.

Professional saying “get out there” and have some sex, thats pretty disgusting. Exactly whats wrong with this world. Its almost like people have lost the meaning of spirituality, importance of relationships in life anymore.

It’s funny, because I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday about this sort of thing. men wonder why women don’t have as much sex and why they’re not as responsive. They have been trained by their men not to have sex. What you say? Think about it.
I had a conversation with my children in the car yesterday that was very enlightening. all of a sudden they were talking about all the “sluts and whores” in their school (they in 9th and 10th grade) my question was, “Well if these girls are ‘sluts and whores’ for expressing their sexuality, what are the boys called? They just looked at me. I proceeded to say, ” the girls are having sex with somebody who are they?” I was pretty shocked that in this day and age that the double standard still exists. I thought by now a woman would be ‘allowed to celebrate her sexuality just as men have always done. In my opinion, because men ridicule and call women sluts and whores when they’re very young, they train them to hate themselves and belief that sex ‘ is bad’. if you call somebody names and vilify the behavior when their minds are most impressionable, then do a flip on them later when they are older by saying, ” i cheated because my wife doesn’t give me enough sex.”Creates confusion in a woman. What was expressed when young then is you feel dirty and ugly and bad if you are sexual. The problem is men create this in women and they don’t know that they’re doing it. Maybe, when men sit around not having sex maybe they should of thought a long time ago when the double standard was created that this view needs to be changed. this problem persists because they continue to treat women in such a poor way; there needs to be a revision of balance of power and allow women to celebrate sexuality just as the man then maybe later they will have a natural partner equal to his own drive. Think about it.

The most romantic man, isn’t the man who sleeps with a different woman every night. The most romantic man is the man who sleeps with the same woman for life.

This is b#$%%*&t!!!! All men cheat. If a woman asks a man if she could give him a handy J, all men agree to it if they know they won’t get caught.

Really?! What was the source of your findings? How was the information asked and over what period of time with what age group? How is having sex with Mila Kunis even relevant – I don’t even know who that is and I’m a guy?
Holly Allender Kraig, your article is bogus. You need sourcing, you need some legitimate way of backing your claims and it better not be Fox news. Where do you get your information? Why are most of these findings relevant? You post a lot of statistical information, but to what end? Pathetic.
