Smiling Exercise: This Really Works!

Psychic Claire ext. 5242 is a genuine spiritual adviser who continually encourages and promotes growth. You might have read her Spiritually Confused column, where she helps ordinary people with extraordinary spiritual concerns. Through our conversations, she’s pinpointed my process of letting go of the past. She stressed continuing meditation and maintaining consistency. Claire also prescribed 20 minute sessions, which I still have to attempt.  She also suggested a name I’d never heard: Gerald O’Donnell, a remote viewer, Mathematician, and Hypnotherapist.  This exercise is his brainchild:

“From the moment you get up in the morning, up to the moment that you go back to sleep, constantly imagine that you are smiling inwardly at your outer reality as you go about your daily activities.

“Imagine that you are smiling from the deeper recesses of your mind, originating from within your heart area, and that you are projecting that happiness and smile outward through your eyes and expression. No matter what the circumstances are. You will find that your eyes will be constantly smiling and so will your mouth, which will often curl up into a slight smile.

“Keep focusing constantly on that act until it becomes automatic and second nature to you. At the same time imagine that your heart constantly expresses a great inward smile, filled with pure joy of being alive, no matter what.

“Notice how people will seek your presence and inner ‘Love.’ After two weeks or so, you will notice an incredible amount of changes, not only in the way you interact with the “outside” world, but also in how the ‘world’ acts and projects reality toward you.

“Your fears will begin to abate and an inner feeling of peace and love will emerge. Fear will stop having a grip on you. Done for regular periods of three weeks at a time, this exercise alone can change anyone’s life dramatically at all levels.”

If you’re curious about the man behind this exercise, read Gerald O’Donnell’s biography.

Reminding myself of all the things that I have to be happy about usually does bring on a smile. It’s sort of like the chicken/egg debate…smile and make yourself happy, or have gratitude for happiness and then smile. Either way, it is something I have been doing every day lately and I’ve felt a lot happier than I have in a long time.

Heidi, this Great advice and wisdom! I totally believe in the internal and external positive changes that occure when you both smile with our mouth and smile inside with an acceptance, peace and gratitude about our life! No matter how ‘rough’ your day, week, year…. you will feel better and find happiness in every day of our lives. No matter what, just like you said.

Wonderful post! It’s going to help so many ‘smile’!
    Blessings & Hugs,
    Coreen
