If You Need Something, Ask!

I used to be involved with seminar work. It was a time of my life that revolved around intense growth and self-awareness. Following each seminar there would be a celebration. Sponsors of participants, past participants and family would gather just to enjoy the energy. It was always a joyous time, a time of community and fellowship. During the celebration the people who had just completed the basic seminar would be encouraged to sign up for the advanced seminar. There was a $200 savings incentive to sign up that night.  Well, a woman who had just completed the basic really wanted to sign up for the next advanced seminar, but she could not afford it. She was a single parent and could barely afford the basic seminar. What she needed was $1,000, and she needed it that night. At some point during the evening, the owner/facilitator of the organization approached her and asked if she was going to do the advanced seminar. She told him she would love to, but she could not afford it. His response was, “So, what are you going to do about it?” Now keep in mind that for the last four days he had been drumming into their heads the idea that “Intention=Results.”  He asked her, “What do you want?” She said, “I want to sign up for the advanced seminar tonight.” Then he said, “Think about what your action step needs to be.” Then he walked away, leaving her to fret, and she did.

No one in the room had any idea that this personal drama was unfolding, but there was a huge gift coming to all of us. About 30 minutes later, she had figured it out. Jeff, the facilitator was on the mic and addressing the group. All he said was that someone wanted to speak to us. He handed the mic to her and she told us her story. She asked us to help. When the celebration was over she had over $1400.  She reserved  her seat for the coming seminar, she gave the rest to their scholarship fund, and everybody in the room learned some very important lessons. She left that evening in tears.
What I learned was that if people understand, they will help. I also had the opportunity to experience what Abraham Maslow described as synergy. There is no good reason for people to not support each other.  The competitive and non-supportive nature of our culture is not who we are as souls. We are all in this together. That is our strength and our salvation.

So, here’s a question for all you psychic types. I’ve been going through a LOT of unwanted transition lately. And I am constantly looking for signs that I’m on the right path, that things will be okay. I’ve often thought how comforting it would be to have spirit guides that I could see or hear or something. How do I get in touch with them? How can I hear them? How do I know they’re really there? What am I doing wrong, or not doing to reach them? Can you feel the frustration/desperation here? Any word would be put to good use. Thanks!

I’ll see what I can do about those numbers. Think they might be Italian? (The Spirits, I mean…you know, numbers…LOL!!!)
OF COURSE I remember that movie! I’ve gotta tell you, I’m an old movie buff. It started when I was a kid. I LOVED all the old Abbott & Costello movies (I have several). On Sundays, there would always be a “Million Dollar Movie” on TV, and I would always watch. I love to watch TCM or AMC. Those old classics are the best.
One day at work, long, long ago in a faraway place, I had nothing to do. So I decided to make a list of every single cartoon and TV show that I had ever watched. OMG! That list was WAY too long!! LOL!! I should do that with all the movies I’ve seen.
Do you get the impression that I have nothing better to do with my time? Gosh, I hope it doesn’t come across like that! I’ve GOT better things to do, I just choose not to do them! Haha!

Well, he’s the Mayor of his town AND a Capricorn. This man commands respect and he gets it!
I worry that these spirits will make it worse if I antagonize them, so I just say “Let it be.” If my guides don’t care, I don’t care. Great theory, I know……..

Hi Fran, Years ago I ran the food services in an upscale retirement home. Every morning we would set out a breakfast buffet. We had a rotary toaster. The residents would just put bread or english muffins in and they would move into the toaster and come out done. One day a little old guy with a white handlebar moustache, he looked like Colonel Sanders, grabbed me and he said, “You know, every morning I put two halves of an english muffin in this toaster, but only one half comes out.” He said, “Do you have any idea where the other half goes?” I thought for a moment and I replied,”All I can figure is that there is a small black hole in there and the other half gets sucked into another dimension.” He smiled. I don’t think he bought it.

I’m going to agree with you, I think it’s a spirit because there is always a thoughtfulness about what is taken. Like they have pondered what item to remove. The longer it’s gone, the more dramatic the return.
I have a friend a few towns over that is bothered by this and he gets angry. He not only demands the item back, he gives them a deadline! I had to laugh and I asked him…”what will you do if they don’t comply with your time line?” He told me he never had to find out because it would come back in the designated time.
It took me too long to learn patience to mess it up now. I just wait.

    Hi sweety,
I write something every two or three days. I have done an article on eclipses and Part 1 of chakras. I am also on the verge of writing an article on 3 similar charts that I have looked over the past 3 months that are nearly identical, and reveal to me an extremely interesting spiritual “truth”. It has to do with extreme spiritual development in other lifetimes, and a fear in the soul of having to return to life with the risk of falling back into the karma of living. I am quite interested in this possibility because of the implications that fear plays in our development, at every level. I am blessed to be communicating with you Gina Rose. I know I am doing something right whenever I am exposed to people such as yourself. I am so grateful.

As far as your vanishing objects….I feel that there is a spirit, or a guide, around you playing tricks on you by moving things…..I’ve seen that before, in some of the haunted places I’ve visited inhabited by the living.

    Hi Gina Rose & Lorna,
I found it interesting Lorna, that items disappear from your home.
For years, I have been “losing” blue pens. Note that I said “blue.” I don’t like using black ink…never have. But when I go to look for a pen, the blue ones are always gone. Oh, sure, the black ones are always there, but I can never find a blue pen. The strange thing is that they’re never found. They’re not on the floor, or in a drawer, or in another room. They are no where in the house. They just vanish.
We’ve always joked around that “someone” likes to bust my chops and steal the pens from me, or they just happen to like blue pens as much as I do. I’ve learned to live with it, and I’ve learned to buy LOTS of pens to keep handy!

OK Gina, let’s clarify. The only time people can teleport is on Star Trek. Non-Trekkies Astral Travel and I love to do that. But when items vanish and come back, I refer to it as teleportation. Maybe there is a new word for it now. I know other people who have had their belongings disappear. Not sure where these things go but they do come back. For me it is usually something that I need or use a lot. Just last December a Christmas gift for my grand daughter vanished and came back in March. HO HO HO!
Your neighborhood sounds very Wizard of Oz. I picture this constant whirlwind of furniture and cows swirling through the air. Your nerves must be frazzled! It must be a wonder to behold though when nature throws a tantrum. You seem to take it in stride though, which is good since you can’t change it. Do your pets get frantic at these times or are they brave like you?

    Hi Lorna,
I have all types of candles….I DO love the soy candles…..but in tornado alley here….the flameless come in handy big time….and the automatic timers on them are great.
They are REAL scented, wax candles with the bottoms hollowed out to insert REGULAR batteries…( that last for months).
They came in handy a few weeks back when I was trying to crawl out from under my dining room table, in the dark as the power was out, after a twister blew thru here.
Teleportation issues ???….no, not me, just electrical issues….
Hey, too bad you couldn’t use that teleportation thing to get around rising gas prices and travel fares huh ?????
I’ve always said that IF I could FIX the electrical gadgets ,instead of burning them out, I’d open a handy repair shop !!!!!!

It brings me an even deeper peace today. You see, I just found out that a dear childhood friend, who’s family has been family to me for 25 years, died today. He was 42 years old. The saddest thing about it is that he never took the chance to, as you said so well,: “It is me telling me, who I am. It is the difference between living in reaction and living deliberately.” My friends life was all reaction and crap shoots and I believe he had it set in his mind at an early age that he would die young. So he did.
Thank you all for giving so much heart and insight through the discussions and beautiful exchanges in this blog. It’s a blessing and a gift.

    Hello Gina,
About ten tears ago I started making my own soy candles. I search antique stores and flea markets for unique containers. I used to have stores I sold to, now I just make them for fundraisers for the animals. Making candles is very calming and OH WOW it makes the house smell good!
I’ll still check out the flameless candles because you have me curious.
Yes! Cats and fire don’t mix. One of my cats got nosey one day and set her whiskers on fire! She wasn’t hurt but she had these crunchy stubs on her face.
Are you also bothered by teleportation. I got the appliance thing under control but I still have things vanishing under my nose and coming back two weeks to eight months later. When the items come back they are in a very noticeable place almost like they are on display. It’s creepy! And that gets expensive too because things need to be replaced and who knows how long they will be gone?
You know….I do like this blog. These are hardly things I can discuss with the mailman!

Yeah…that electrical issue was getting so expensive that I shelled out the money and took 12 weeks of hypnotherapy classes, one on one instructional classes ,with a well known hypnotherapist, to control my breathing, relaxing, meditational skills. Yes…it would happen when I became stressed in ANY way…..sad OR happy.Any mood fluctuations would cause it.
Hey since you are in a storm prone area…check out the flameless candles by Candle Impressions on QVC shopping network TV.
I bought some and they come in VERY handy during storms, I’ve bought some at Xmas and have only changed the batteries once since then….These are real wax candles that have an batteries embedded in the bottom of the candle…complete with timers, you can set them to come on everyday by themselves.
They look real and even come scented….
AND BEST OF ALL, if your animals knock them over it won’t cause a fire…they won a home safety award.

Kudos again, Phillip! Ask and we “can” receive…
Even sometimes if there is a waiting period…
I have asked for things and got, “no”, and then, later, it changed to a “yes.” We just have to begin patience sometimes to let our request have time in the universe to absorb…..Having a father with a capricorn moon, and mercury in Taurus, I got “no” always first…..I had to negotiate with him, and a lot of times, he would change his mind….So I learned a lot from working with him….I found out later, that this is the case, not with just my earthy father, but a lot of other things and persons….No can later turn into YES! BUT YOU HAVE TO ASK!!

    Hi Gina,
I can relate to your story.
We live in a town of 1700 and up here you probably don’t have to ask. Everyone knows! There is always a Spaghetti Night or Rummage Sale going on for someone. We are well versed on the concept of when you give, it comes back to you threefold.
We also do a lot of bartering. Fresh eggs for haircuts, car repairs for a painted fence, etc. If you don’t know who can help you, all you have to do is pick up the phone.
After being up here for 9 years, I could never go back to a “Drive-Thru” world. With the Mississippi 10 minutes away I feel like what I’m looking for IS in my own backyard.
So to kick it up a notch, don’t wait to be asked. Self absorbed people are usually unhappy. Everyone has something to contribute.

    Hi Phillip ~
Another wonderful article from you. Sometimes people, even those close to you, have a hard time asking for help. I have a really close friend who is in a financial pickle. She’s going through so much stress between her finances and two of her grown kids (she’s got 6!). I wanted to help, but I knew that she wouldn’t take any money from me. So I got her a gift card for the grocery store instead. At first she didn’t want it. I had to tell her that I didn’t shop at that store (even though I sometimes do) so it would be a waste if she didn’t take it. She did. And although it wasn’t much, she was truly happy that I helped her out in that way.

    Hi Jacqueline,
You said something very important when you said that you’ve realized that you’re not real clear on what you want in your life. That is half the battle won right there….knowing what you want.
Many people really don’t know what they want.
Or, sometimes, they want what is not good for them.
Sometimes, they are trying to walk the wrong Karmic path.Walking the wrong Karmic path is akin to wandering around, in the dark, in circles in the woods , only to find you are still lost . LOL
Sometimes I will ask a client, If you could have anything in the world, what would it be ??? Many of them respond with ” I don’t know “. When I hear that, I take a look at their Karmic gifts and Karmic path….and start pointing their unique talents and gifts out to them…..what will “feed the soul ” so to speak.
I’ve found that when a person is walking their Karmic path, their needs, spiritually, emotionally , mentally, even sometimes, physically are being met.
Jacqueline, you made an excellent point about knowing WHAT you want.Thank you.

Psychic Jacqueline 9472, What they used to teach us was “confusion is not an option”. Personally, I have always believed that the crescent Moon and the star on the Moslem flags represents the conjunction of the Moon and Venus. The Moon is emotion and Venus is love. When you put them in that configuration you get devotion. Devotion=heart and emotion. What comes from one’s soul dream or longing energized by emotion becomes manifest. But we have to be clear in our heart what that is. It is MY responsibility to know what I want. It is me telling me, who I am. It is the difference between living in reaction and living deliberately. Just my thoughts. It is about honoring myself.

What a great story~! I especially loved the summation in your final paragraph. “There is no good reason for people to not support each other.” I have found this to be true in my own life, as well as on this wonderful psychic line. When some callers start off in a very negative tone, I supply some love to which they immediately respond.

Hello Pillip, love you article, great topic, I was reading a great book the other day that talked about visualizing what you want in you life, they talk about literally seeing role by role how the event (the desire) would take place, the excitement, the laughter how everyone around would be effected, visualize a very detailed event, covering physical, emotional, and spiritual live this out in your mind role by role in great detail.
I have given this much thought and realize I’m not real clear on what it is that I desire in my life, so I have been giving this great thought… Funny thing I think so often we forget to just ask, we just kinda expect that is will come, thanks for the reminder to simply ask, Beautifully said!

Once, back in the 70’s during THAT recession, some neighbors had fallen on hard times…the husband worked for manufacturing company International Harvester which was on strike…the longest strike in UAW history to that date…a whopping 9 month long strike…the wife had just had a babygirl,6 weeks old.
We used to have huge block parties in that neighborhood about once per month and we noticed they were not attending, we found out,AFTER ASKING, they had no money to chip in for party treats, etc, and couldn’t even pay their mortgage payment and buy groceries……
Well, long story short,….we all threw another block party, ( actually about 5 blocks total because we ” recruited ” more party goers, again, we ASKED OTHER NEIGHBORS FOR THEIR HELP on different blocks down the street)… to raise money to see this couple and their 5 kids thru the strike…we all raised enough money to pay their mortgage for 4 months….plus stock them up on groceries.
They made it thru the UAW strike..and kept their home…..and WE kept some really nice neighbors and friends….and ,even made new friends and neighbors…
    All because we asked.

I agree with your article and actually have to credit Mick Jagger when he told us in a song long ago….”you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need!” Good point!
Now I could be kicking back at home and say “I sure could use a Cappucino Moolatte!” I can be pretty sure one will not materialize.
On the other hand if I say “I wish my neighbor would quit giving me dirty looks!” Within a few days an opportunity will arise in which I can help her. Hence, the end of dirty looks. Self interest and the quality of the wish are factors. Needs and wants, know the difference.
Ahhh, you’ve had it peaceful for way too long. Remember all the deep things I would say to you to bring out your inner Ram? Like….”life is a Twinkie”. Among other Scorpio specials. You would literally be bent at the waist like you were going to butt me with your head. Ram on!
OK, I’ll close on my Libra rising and be nice.
    Love Ya,
    Lorna
