Create Your Dream Life

Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about what your life would be if only…? Is your life heading toward the destiny you dream of? Here’s how to find out.

You’ll need an oversized tablet of paper and a very comfortable pen and quiet time.

What is your perfect day?
Clear your mind and then imagine your perfect day — one without any restrictions of any kind. No worries about time or money or obligations. A day that belongs solely to you is going to be created by you. Write down every detail.

Begin at the first moment you open your eyes. What kind of sheets are you sleeping on… or are you camping in the woods? Describe what you are doing, what you will be eating, what you will be wearing, etc. Keep other people in this as mere sketches. Remember, this is all about you!

Imagine every little thing
As you start your perfect day, what do you look like? Where do you live? What kinds of activities are laced throughout your day? Be sure to write down even the tiniest detail because not one word that is being written will be insignificant in the final analysis.

Evening is approaching and it is time to close out this magical time. Where will you spend the night? Write everything about the evening, your meal, your companions… don’t leave out anything.

A map to your future
Now… read over your day. What does this tell you about yourself? Compare this to your life today. Is there a great difference? What areas in your present life are blocking the flow of your perfect day?

Use this as a map to your truest treasure – the fulfillment of your destiny! From time to time, take it out and re-read it. If each time you read your perfect day, your desires still ring true, you are on the right track. If something doesn’t feel like it “fits” you anymore, re-write the map.

This is your life. No excuses. You can look everywhere and find people who have overcome incredible odds to become everything they had ever dreamed of being. There is no difference between what these people have done and what you can do. Not one single difference!

Great Article Jesse.. It certainly rings true with me, as you know. And even if, in the end, your goals are too big and you can’t “move that mountain” after all, the efforts that went into it make your life worthwhile all the same and most likely something good will come out of it that will give your life a different meaning. Nothing worse than letting your life pass by you without living it the way you want it, or deserve it. As for me, I am making some progress towards my “perfect days”.. even if very slowly. My friend over there seems to be believing in me a bit more and stepping up to the plate, even volunteering today to start talking to some people over there to see if he can generates some interest.. Made me feel good. The other one, however, is still very quiet.. wish she would answer.. makes me nervous. Loved our last reading, as usual.. Will talk to you soon. Take care, my dear friend. Your are the best !

    Dear Heidi Kentwood,
Thank you for your kind words about the article. To answer your question: The great thing about mapping out your perfect day is that you don’t really need to “do” much of anything. After you have really written it all out, most folks find themselves thinking about it for a long time to come. From time to time, they will even re-read it.
It is in THOSE moments when you can see that some “minor adjustments” may still be needed and so you can do some small things to keep the course set.
For instance, if, in your perfect day, you had written, among other things, that you were going to be wearing a perfect size 10 pair of jeans on that day and, as time was marching on, you noticed that you weren’t really losing much weight or exercising very much. So, you start with something small…at that moment, you choose to take the stairs instead of the elevator or you eat something healthy for breakfast. Just some small thing to let your spirit know that you are serious about the goal.
The things that you can’t really do anything about in your perfect day will just simply begin to take shape as the things you CAN control are strengthened. As corny as it sounds, “The greatest journey (really does) begin with the smallest step.” You don’t have to do anything big to keep your motivation…just tell your Spirit that you really mean it and show your mind that you are willing to help the process along the best way you can.
If you are really lacking motivation, you may need to reconsider what you have written. That’s the reason that it is so important to WRITE it all down. What we “think” doesn’t have the depth of what we really focus on while we write. That’s the reason that journals are so helpful for people. There is amazing insight to be seen when we bring all of our senses together and allow our Spirits to “speak out” on paper. What does your Spirit have to show you?
I hope this helped! Good luck!
    Many Blessings,
    Jesse 9027

Brilliant Jesse! Heidi asked how to stick with it… Thought precedes action. One has only to dream consistently. Eventually the dream will manifest. Remember the faith piece. Expectation is a huge piece of manifestation.

    Jesse,
Great article-very on point. I do believe it’s important to have a record of our “dream” and just as important to revise it from time to time if and as our dream evolves.
Spending a whole day walking my well-loved white sandy beach and then moving to a lounge chair on the beach to read a book. YUM!
Thanks for the inspiration-I find from time to time circumstances, responsibilities and pressures do not allow us to live our perfect days every day, but even then the outline of how we want to live can inspire us to work through those temporary delays and achieve what we want.
