1. Break it up

The left brain chooses the quickest route to work, the fastest coffee shop, and the same lunch you always eat, right at your desk. Soon, your life becomes silently dull.
The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way. Go ahead, break free! Get off the subway one stop earlier, or drive a slightly different way to work. Try a new spot for coffee, and get out of the office for at least 20 minutes at lunch. If you choose even just one of these things and allow yourself to drink in the shift in surroundings, you’ll get a noticeable uplift in energy with just a few minutes investment.
2. Clean it out

Walk 10 minutes away from your office and then turn around and walk back – and you’ve done enough to make a difference. You can also dance to a few favorite songs, or do a Pilates or ypga DVD. It takes less time than cooking a meal, or watching a favorite TV show, and it gives back energy in spades. Not only will you feel better, but also the commitment to exercise often grows naturally. And if you’re feeling flushed and fine for an extended period (say even a month), well, that often translates to more fun between the sheets!
