Rose from London, England writes:
I am going through a very tough time in my life. Please help me interpret this dream—it was kind of a dream within a dream:
My old school friends and I are in the middle of two mountains, when all of a sudden, strong waves of water come down from both mountains. We have nowhere to run. I climb on the top of a building along with some of my friends to keep from drowning. Then another wave arrives in the form of a circle, which bursts and then rolls down and stops. I tell my friend that I have dreamt about the same situation before, and I am directing them on how to climb up!
It’s intriguing when a dream points out another dream, as if to emphasize a point you’re supposed to get.
In your dream, the two mountains may signify two events, choices or ways of handling a challenging situation. Think back to when you had the first dream of this kind. Is there a similar situation or feeling from that time period that’s come back into your life—like a “vicious circle,” as symbolized by the circle of water? Most likely, what’s come back is a negative feeling because waves of water that threaten to drown you symbolize emotions that are out of control.
On the upside, you sought higher ground—and even taught others how to do so—which means you have the ability to rise above negativity and the strength to direct your own life. There was nowhere to run, and no way to go but up, which is a nice metaphor for embracing one’s destiny and spiritual growth.
Your birth chart shows you have Sun and Moon in Cancer, a water sign with exceptional sensitivity. Currently, transiting Saturn in Libra is testing your emotional endurance. The result will deepen your inner strength, but it can be a painful process. Hang in there! Also, you have Mercury and Venus in Leo, the sign of leadership, creativity and determination in the face of obstacles. Use these gifts to overcome any inner or outer challenges that thwart your aspirations.
