Confessions of a Ghost Hunter

In the movie The Sixth Sense the troubled young man says, “I see dead people,” and for him it was a dark secret. I grew up in a home where psychic ability was not only accepted, it was encouraged. In the late eighties I met some people in Berkeley that wanted to form a “Ghost Hunting” group.I studied with them, and we learned new techniques.Up to this time it was always the spirits that found me, now I was eager to go ‘hunting’ to find them.My first experiences were a wild and fearful education for a very “cocky” investigator.

Eventually I found that I like to explore older buildings and historical sites. I have my favorite sites – some are so rich that I take student psychics and ghost hunters there to explore their own abilities (as I think everyone should).Being a part of a more organized psychic group or Paranormal Investigation has allowed me special access into places where the general public isn’t allowed.

I once stayed overnight at Alcatraz, and have gone back numerous times since then. The Hospital space (above the cafeteria) is not open to the public and is where Stroud (“the birdman of Alcatraz”) was kept for many years.A hauntingly disturbed individual who did not keep birds there! He is still there, in his old room in the hospital, to this day!

We have recorded EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) or spectral voices in “Operating Room A” that were echoes of a surgery to save a man who had attempted escape and had multiple gunshot wounds. And had some very disturbing feelings in the solitary cells in D Block, which is near the Library, with a ghostly sweet, small, old man librarian who is still taking care of the ‘books’ which are no longer physically there. There is a guard that was killed in the riot that happened, that still walks the ‘catwalk’ over the ‘D Block.’As well as the spirits of the men who attempted to hide during the riot inside the wall between cell blocks, where they died, can be felt when looking though a viewing window of area.My advice about Alcatraz is to go and get the taped ‘self guided tour’ but do not listen to the tape at first.Wander around and note what you ‘feel’ and ‘sense’ and where you felt it, then listen to the tape and get your validation.

The hot spots to ‘tune in to’ are the Barber shop, Block A which is closed off, but the entrance to what the inmates called “The Dungeon” is there and you can feel the dark negative energies swirling up out of that opening. The public official (what the park rangers there will tell you) statement is that there is NO dungeon.Watch the movie, Movie in the First Degree before you go.It is based on true fact, and if you read up on the Island it is explained in detail why they still to this day avoid that subject. The books will also confirm the existence that was originally the remainder of an older fort prison, which is directly below A… and you can work your way down below from outside that building and check it out to see for yourself that there WERE indeed cells where they say none ever existed.

The downstairs shower room has so much ‘tourist traffic’ that most of the spiritual energy stays away, but if you go and stand around the sides of the room or on the spot where the showers used to be…you can get many ‘echoes’ in vibration as some died right there, and many of the prisoners were attacked, raped, and/or stabbed there. They now offer overnight excursions to a certain number of people each year, if you can help clean up the island if you are chosen, but are you ready to lay down your head to sleep where the spirits of rapists, murderers, and thieves wander? You need to be very experienced and very clear to take that on.

If you’d like more stories of my adventures in Ghost Hunting, I can tell you about the historic and quite haunted town I live in now, or the Winchester Mystery House, or the Queen Mary, or the Battlefield near New Orleans, or the Mansion called Oak Alley, or the Brown Museum (haunted house open to tours in Nevada), and many more of my….adventures!I love my life!

Hi max! i realy liked your story about Alcatraz. The reason i liked it so miuch is because i have had a few experiences of my own with spirits. And i love to look around old building and houses. i also have a few abilities of my own. i also would love to become as you call them ghost hunter or investigator. im not sure about it because i have been told that it disturbs the spirits and makes them angry.(brings bad karma around) what do you think bout this?

    Hi!
I replied to you in another post regarding the disappearance of “things.” I think that while on route through my living room, one of those spirits decided to stay for an extended visit, and he/she likes taking my blue pens!! LOL!

I don’t think it was a time portal as such……..BUT it was a route that these spirits once took when they were alive, after they crossed over, they were still taking the familiar route as they knew it when they were alive……remember, many new buildings are built atop old buildings , roads, alleys etc. So your friends analogy was very close.

    Hi Gina Rose,
When my kids were babies, I would wake up to nurse them in the middle of the night (well, THEY would WAKE me up! Ha). I’d sit in the living room on the sofa with them and watch TV. There’s one wall in my living room that leads out from the hallway. Not very wide. I would always see a green light (like an orb) shooting across the bottom of that wall. At first, I thought it was the reflection of a passing car. But the blinds were shut as well as the door, and the only light was from the TV. This went on for quite some time.
I finally asked whoever was passing through if they would kindly find a different avenue to get to where they were going because it was kinda scary. Right afterwards, the lights stopped.
Last year, a friend of mine was over (her daughter was friends with Vanessa), and I told her about the green lights. She was not a psychic, but she said that she could sense things. She told me that area of my house was a vortex and Spirits used it as a portal to get from one place to the next. I just wanted to know what you think, because I respect and admire you. (Besides, I know I said I’d wait a couple of weeks to call again, but I miss ya!)

    Hi Lorna,
Yes..that was a negative warning , but NOT evil in nature attack , considering the nature of Nell and reason for the attack or warning.
    I’ve experienced that before myself…..
Nell was simply trying to make you and the others leave that space….effective wasn’t it ???? LOL
Nell wanted to be ackowledged and shown some respect….by greeting Nell each morning basically asking her permission by letting her know where you and the others would be that day in the house…Nell was giving you the “OK” by allowing you and the others to simply breathe.

Hi Gina, I’ve got a question for you that no one has ever given me a good answer to.
POP QUIZ! Two years ago I was a tour guide in a house that was built in 1826. I got to wear period clothes and do 30 minute guided tours. I ended up falling in love with the house and loved to be alone in it. It didn’t take me long to pick up on some heavy energy on the 2nd floor. When I asked the owners about it they said they had invested in many spiritual cleansings that all failed. I didn’t feel it was evil, just unhappy. My question is this…when I would hit the parlour on the 2nd floor, I felt like I had an anvil on my chest. I couldn’t get any air into my lungs and it would abruptly stop as soon as I would leave that room. What causes this? Is it considered a negative attack? Two of the other guides felt the same thing and one of them quit. One of the guides had shut down the house at the end of the day and crossed the street to her car. She looked back at the house just in time to see the lights going back on one at a time, like someone was walking from room to room.
I found out the ghost’s name was Nell and I spent the rest of the summer trying to befriend her. I discovered that if I went into the parlour and said Good Morning to her and gave her some idea how busy we would be that day, I would be allowed to breathe. It’s a deal! She just wanted some respect and manners. After all, it was her house!
Is there anything you can tell me about spontaneous suffocation?

    Dear Jesse,
I’m going to have to give you a call one of these days so we can compare stories. I have a few that I’d like to share with you, but like you, I don’t want to take up so much time and space on this blog regaling folks with my ghost stories.
I’m looking forward to “meeting” you on your outdial! (And I can’t wait to hear YOUR stories!! Think we can fit it all in 20 minutes? LOL)

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Fran! I believe that “spirits” are simply people without the mortal “carton” with which we communicate in this physical realm. Just like the people we see every day and with whom we interact on many levels, there are “good ones” and “bad ones”.
Any place that has ever had any kind of energy around it has the potential to attract and maintain entities. It doesn’t have to be old. We simply assume that the older a place is, the more energy will be there. In some cases that is true. However, it seems that the more intense the energy before someone passes over (such as in the case of a violent death), the more likely it is that the energy can get “stuck” or that the person simply can’t release and move on.
Several of the EVP tapes that we have recorded gives us real clues as to what is going on with the other side. So far, I can honestly say that spirits often stay close by to keep protection over their loved ones or, in many cases, they are simply afraid to leave.
If I wasn’t concerned about taking up all the blog space for this topic, I would tell you all about one haunting we investigated in which the cups not only moved like the ones you wrote about, there was actually words coming across the microwave telling us to get out! That place was so bad that the family had to finally leave.
Keep your heart and mind open, Fran. The world is filled with amazing adventures!

    Hi Jesse,
That was one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. I would like to share a story about something that I experienced, gosh, probably 20 years ago.
A dear friend that I worked with invited me to spend the weekend at her house in the Bronx. She still lived at home with her family. Her sister, who was about 16 years older than she, lived with her son and boyfriend in an apartment not to far from my friend’s house.
Sue & I went to her sister’s place, but before we got there, she warned me that the apartment was “haunted.” Although I believed in spirits, I was skeptical about this particular place being haunted.
As we sat in the small kitchen, the sink was to my right. Above the sink were four hooks with a mug hanging from each one. Suddenly, Sue’s sister told us to look. The first mug on the far left started to swing back and forth. Then the second mug began swinging. Immediately, the third then fourth mug joined in, and all four mugs were swinging in unison! I nearly died! I had never been so frightened in my life.
There was a little window in the kitchen, and we heard something scratching at it. We looked over and saw a very scary image, like a large, looming face, glowing red outside the window. This apartment was on the 4th floor and there were no trees or anything outside the window that could cause the scratching sound or the image!!
I was so relieved when we left, only to have my heart sink the next day when Sue said we needed to back to get something she had forgotten. When we arrived, I needed to use the bathroom. While I was in there, I heard voices coming through the wall, but this wall wasn’t attached to another room. I tried to be brave and said aloud to the spirit that I wasn’t afraid. Suddenly, the light started flickering on and off. I couldn’t get out of that bathroom fast enough!!
An interesting thing…they had a huge German Shepard named Major, and he wouldn’t go into the kitchen or the bedroom. Smart dog.
I’ve got so many more stories like this one, but I’ll save them for later.
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
    Hugs, Fran

My sweet and beautiful Gina Rose! What a pleasure and honor! We share so many of the same clients and they all tell me how amazingly gifted and wonderful you are. I am truly humbled and thankful to hear from you!
Well, that explains how you got such magnificent red hair! The Clan Wallace is quite impressive! The history throughout the “British” Isles is truly phenomenal, and I believe it is the passion and the isolation of so much of its past that makes the descendants even more “in tune”. Perhaps that’s why your grandmother could be heard so clearly…?
At the time of my “adventure” I was actually crossing Ireland to live with my crazy great aunt who lives on a tiny island on the eastern coast. She refused to speak English because it’s, well…ENGLISH! LOL! So I had to learn enough Gaelic to communicate. This Southern tongue does better with Cajun than Gaelic, but I was able to manage! LOL! I lived there for 3 months and learned many things about The Old Ways. She was a true Practitioner of the Arts.
I hope you and yours have a truly blessed Solstice….and thanks for responding!
    Blessed be, my Sister!

    Hi Jesse,
When my GrandMother passed, I heard her footsteps on the bare wood floors in our old house…. she had tiny feet ( size3) and wore wedgie sandals….they made a unique sound on the bare wood…..I would hear her walk the halls and go up the stairs, like she used to when she was alive, every night, at 10:30PM to wake my GrandFather who worked third shift.
IreLand is beautiful…My Great-Aunt and GrandMother were both from Limerick, IreLand. They were Scotch/Irish…..
O’Reagan on the Irish side and
clan WALLACE,( yes, from THE William Wallace clan) on the Scottish side.
That’s way too funny about the guy wanting you to retrieve your pictures,…..I bet he was scared stiff !!!!!

My partner (also a psychic here with California Psychics) and I have been doing paranormal investigations for many years. One of the very best direct interactions I have EVER experienced happened while I was traveling in a very remote area of Ireland. EVERY word of what I am going to write is the absolute truth…no matter how strange it may seem to you, I swear it to be completely true!
One evening while driving through the southwest region of Ireland, I discovered an old house sitting way up on a hill that seemed to really “call” to me. I drove near it and was more and more fascinated with it the closer I drove. After locating the owners (who were living on the far side of the land), I asked if I might stay there for the night. (In Ireland, it is a usual custom to ask such things. Believe or not, it is perfectly acceptable 😉
The owners seemed like nice people, albeit somewhat nervous. They said they had actually considered turning into an inn, but as yet hadn’t done much to it. The man said I was welcomed to the entire place for only 16 pounds a night.
I was overjoyed to find such a fascinating old house all to myself for less than $30 a night! The owners walked me back to the house to give me the keys and make sure the power was on, etc. Like most places in the country, it wasn’t locked, but they said that I might feel a bit “safer” knowing that I could lock the doors. The lady said she would be right over with a basket of evening “goodies” and some tea.
I walked all around the outside of the house taking photos. My camera gear was very heavy, so instead of lugging it upstairs, I decided to leave it in the trunk of the car for the night. I had planned on taking more photos of the inside of the house in the morning when I got up.
No one else(other than the family who owned the place) could be seen anywhere. There was only one road in or out of the property. It seemed so very isolated as the sun started to descend across the beautiful green fields.
After the lady brought a lovely basket of fruit and scones and other such delights. (Looking back on her “urgency” to return to her family home, what I had taken as her family obligation may have been something else entirely!)
I could have stayed in any room in the entire house, but one room at the top of the stairs seemed to “call” to me. It was sparsely furnished with two small twin beds and a couple of old tables. A small lamp sat on a nightstand beside one of the metal frame beds, so that was the one under which I chose to toss my bags. On the far side of the room was an old bureau and nearby was a door leading to the bath.
I made myself a cup of tea and settled in to catch up on some writing and reading before turning in for the night. I stacked up my books and writing materials on the tiny nightstand and took out a few CDs to listen to while I read.
The house was so old that it had (what appeared to be) the original wooden shutters inside the room instead of curtains. When I went to close the shutters for the night, I could see that the “nice” look to the place was really a facade. The original structure had been plastered over and the gap between the “newer” outer surface and the original was quite obvious when you looked at the base of the window. From the looks of the original structure, the house had to be at least 250 years old!
The sun seemed to sink a bit more quickly than I was anticipating, so I made sure to turn on the lights in the room and the hallway in case I needed to get something out of my car before morning. (I’m quite a night owl and it’s not unusual for me to wander around at all hours of the night! 😉
After making sure everything in the house was secured, I went back upstairs and closed the door to my room. (Even now writing this is rather difficult…and this all happened many years ago!) When all the natural light had left the house, something I had never experienced before nor since began to “awaken”… very, very quickly!
There seemed to be a most unusual feeling filling up the room. At first, I thought it was just my imagination or the fact I was rather tired from a long day of learning to drive on the opposite side of the road and not get killed. However, undeniable “flashes” of “shadows” suddenly started streaking across the far side of the room near the old bureau. Surely it was just a trick of the light!
As I drew my legs up closer to me on the bed, I sensed something near me. The light was on and I could not “see” anything unusual. However, as I turned to look back at the bureau, I could actually SEE MY OWN BREATH! THAT is how intense a cold spot had suddenly become! From “nothing at all” to “extreme cold” in less than one minute is NOT the normal order of thermodynamics!
As I have mentioned before in another blog response, I always try to find the “logical and scientific” explanation for anything that is happening. If I hear hoof beats, I think “horse” not “zebra”! I am much more likely to go with practical and scientific explanations and logic than to immediately assume paranormal activity. However, in this case, things were definitely gearing up to make me think “ZEBRA”!
I “decided” that I might want to check out some things I had left in my car (like my sanity!), so I slipped on my shoes and started to head toward the bedroom door. As I reached for the doorknob, something seemed to make a strike against that door so hard and so loud that I actually jumped backward at least 4 feet! Flatfooted! It wasn’t the kind of strike that someone could have made if they were on the other side of the door and pounded it really hard with both fists. If that could have been possible, the door would have shown some kind of “bend” or strike mark on the wood. Also, no one else could have been there without my hearing them ascend the stairs or open the front door (which was very squeaky!)
This sounded like the door almost exploded! As I stood there staring at the door, I realized I was shaking and genuinely shocked (and it takes a great deal to shock me!). Suddenly, out of nowhere and without any warning, a truly horrible “running” sound started on the stairs outside the door…as if someone was continually running up and down the stairs, over and over again with genuinely maddening speed! No mortal could even begin to keep up that kind of intensity! I could actually sense the anger in the pace and severity of the sound!
I truly thought I must be losing my grip on reality…(and not in one of those “cool, 1960s” sort of ways, either;-) This was unlike anything I had ever experienced! It kept going all night long! For HOURS!
I curled up on the tiny bed and read EVERYTHING near me to try and keep my mind off what was going on all around me (and that was no easy task!) I read every magazine in my bag, every piece of paper near the nightstand, everything…right down to the ingredients on my toothpaste! I plugged in my Walkman and turned it up as loud as I could and prayed that the batteries would hold all night…and they did! The “running” was so loud and “angry” that I could actually feel it near the bed.
I began to focus as much protection around me as I could. Fortunately for me, I come from a long line of women who know their Magick and everything I could utilize was being used that night!
When the first few rays of dawn started to peek through the old shutters, things stopped as suddenly and strangely as they had started. There was instant silence! The silence was almost as disturbing as the horrendous sounds! Then, softly, the birds began to sing.
I ran to the shutters and opened them as wide as I could to let light fill the room. It was as if that entire, long and horrible night had been a dream! I immediately grabbed all my things and started to walk to the door again. This time, as I cautiously reached for the doorknob, nothing at all happened! This time it was I who ran down those stairs. I left a 20 pound note on the table downstairs along with the keys…and I got the heck out of there! the next night found me in a proper hotel with LOTS of people around me! LOL!
After I had returned to the states and had the hundreds of pictures I had taken during my adventures processed, my goddaughter came over to help me sort through them all. When she came to the ones I had taken of the house, she started asking a few questions about it. Something seemed to draw her curiosity! I told her it was just some old house I stayed at, no big deal. (There was no way I was going to admit to what I had experienced. After all, who would believe such a story? I had no proof or evidence of any kind…or so I thought!)Then she asked, “So..who is that in the windows?”
I almost swallowed my own tongue! There, in very plain sight, were THREE people in period clothing: an old woman with white hair pulled back tight and wearing what appeared to be a black dress with a high collar and cameo (there was THAT much detail!). Next to her was a middle aged “man” with a handlebar mustache and a tight shouldered jacket like they wore in the early 1900s. Standing almost directly in front of him was a young girl with her head bowed and her hair hanging halfway down her face as if she had been crying. Each one of these images filled an entire large pane of glass!
I took the negative back to the camera shop where it had been developed and asked that it be thoroughly checked for any kind of “lighting trick”. I wanted it enlarged and digitally checked. Several days passed when I got a phone call from the manager of the shop. He said, “Ma’am, I don’t believe in ghosts or such things, but whatever you have in that picture is NOT light or shadow. It has eyes…well, sort of. I don’t know what the hell it is but I want you to come get this thing…and you might want to look at taking your business elsewhere.” (And this was after paying him more than $500 for all the film processing he had done!)
A copy was made of the negative and several prints were made of the photograph. One set was sent off to the show, “Sightings”, along with the story of how it came to be taken.
Shortly after receiving a letter informing me that the producers of the show were very interested in following up on this, the series was unfortunately canceled. There was no way to contact anyone to retrieve the prints of the negative. A few months later, a very unforeseen flood blasted through our home and, in addition to collapsing the walls of our house and killing 3 of our neighbors, the negatives were never seen again.
I suppose some things are meant to be left secret! However, it gave me (and several of my nearest and dearest) a real penchant for paranormal investigating. We have now performed many professional investigations and the vast majority turn out to have perfectly logical explanations.
Being psychic and having a partner who is a wonderful medium helps a LOT! We have top of the line equipment ranging from digital voice recorders to infrared cameras. We use a wonderful software system that can take apart any sound recording to find out if it is “out of the ordinary” range or if it is some normal everyday sound that seems to be causing the disturbance.
As Shakespeare so eloquently stated: “There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in all of your philosophies!”
If we strive for a balance of known science and genuine curiosity for the unknown regions, the world of psychic energy and paranormal experiences will become mainstream and truly embraced. The more people begin to research such things, the more real evidence we can gather.
Life does not begin at the first breath nor does it end with the last. I believe that a good psychic owes it to themselves and our profession to allow the energy to really flow from all directions in order to see what the unseen past as well as the unknown future will hold.
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you!

Hi…. Do you remember a very good female psychic who went by the one-word name of ” Char”…..from the very early 80’s ????? She used the name of her guide, ” Char ” ( pronounced hard C) , or the name because her guide gave it to her, something like that.
She was a all ’round psychic and medium who used to appear on the Phil Donahue show occassionally….she was an excellent, excellent! psychic.

    Hi,
Sorry, his last name began with a J.
His name was Peter James, famous medium from the 80’s , appeared on “Sightings” many times.
Peter also was a guest star for the big network I worked for back in 80’s that Dione Warwick & Linda Georgian hosted on late night TV infomercials.
Peter is a medium who literally sees spirits in the PHYSICAL form, not in
” the mind’s eye “….like many mediums do.
Peter cannot tell spirits he is seeing from real living people….( I do same thing, to me spirits look alive, like when I was ten years old…..I really can’t tell if they are dead or alive sometimes…until I feel the cold wash over me).
Peter always said that ” seeing spirits in the minds eye leads to the imagination taking over and filling in the blanks”. Personally, I don’t know if I would agree with THAT though. I’ve met excellent mediums that DO connect with
    ” SEE ” and ” HEAR” spirits in the ” mind’s eye”.

Joyce had health problems many years ago…..I didn’t know her chart was a collectors item now….it was done by her in the 80’s.
I know where and how to reach her partner…..funny thing, we usually connect, ONCE, every ten years. I haven’t talked to her partner since

    Hi Gina Rose,
Are you talking about Peter Hurkos? He used to be our neighbor when I was a little girl– he lived out here, but I think I recall him having an accent? I think he was from Europe. I was around 6-9 years old living around him.
I do not feel heat. I know I have had people tell me that the cold-element feeling scared them-there is nothing to fear, this is just how the spirits are… I would like to hear what others say about feeling elements of cold and hot when dealing with spirits.
Thanks. Hope you had a real nice day fishing. Cheers, Miss Krystal

    Hi Jen,
I have heard about that place. Always wanted to go. Have you ever gone to the Magic Castle, here in LA?
    Thanks,

    Hi Abigail,
Yeah, most feel cold, some though feel a burning, hot sensation, some hear a buzzing noise…..
…It depends on the individual psychic’s senses take it in and how they, ( the spirits ), decide to make their presence known.
As far as the Winchester house ( great place by the way)….this blog is a fantastic idea, but it’s starting to remind me of the Winchester house to navigate ….LOL…….

I’ve been to the Winchester Mystery House. It’s pretty amazing. Every room has something that adds up to 13 and there’s just something whimsical and eerie about the grounds. Definitely a good family trip. Im not sure if you’re in NorCal or SoCal, but if you go up from SoCal, you can stop in Cambria to see the elephant seals then go to Hearst Castle en route to Winchester. It’s a beautiful drive. We took that road to go to Big Sur for a road trip class I had in college.

    Hi Miss Krystal,
    I always feel cold,….
…. but I’ve met other psychics who feel heat, usually somewhere on their neck or ears.
A famous TV psychic, his name started with Peter, used to feel heat too.
Just wondering what sensations the other psychics feel.

    Hi Gina Rose,
I always feel the cold, but never felt the heat from a spirit?
They also come to me with the wind…if that makes sense….There is nothing to fear, I do know…That I am positive about….I was never the type that had to leave the lights on sleeping, when I was little, it did not matter, I saw them anyway 😉

    Hi,
    Interesting stuff !!!!
I’ve been doing walk-thrus for decades now thru haunted sites….I always get a feeling of coldness wash over me when making spirit contact.
It’s an un-earthly kind of coldness….it goes thru the bones, it slowly washes over and THRU me, starting from my head and progressing down to my feet….kind of like stepping outside with no coat on in the middle of winter when it’s minus-20 degrees.
I sometimes feel paralyzed and can’t move or speak,….it’s not an earthly feeling, or an earthly type of coldness.
( Not to be morbid, but it feels like the type of coldness you would feel, LOL…., IF you COULD feel, if you were dead and buried in the cold ground in winter)
I’ve heard other psychics get feelings of cold, some of heat…..would be interesting to hear the sensations that others feel.

Thanks to both Miss Krystal & Gina Rose for your imput as I feel we all grow so much when we share. Yes, we do all have different ways of investigating, I didn’t really spend any time on the how perhaps that would be a grand discussion, and very educational for both those with little experience and those who want to try out new things. I am always up for a new tool, or way to connect.
I have had many experiences with “cold” but none so far with warm. I too would be very interested to hear more from anyone about different sensations they may have had whilst “exploring” as in my opinion an open mind is the best tool.
One time when closing a vortex in a private home in Cedar Ridge,CA. we had a very strange “sensation” happen to us. As we called to all entities that had entered through that “opening” to depart, we spoke (sorry if this offends anyone used to only the old words and systems) of the “psychic vaccuum” that was pulling them back into the abyss from which they came”. It works well for us. And we thought we were out of the way, but I and my fellows were in the way of one such entity in a hurry (being sucked out?). It was a unique experience in that it went very quickly, and only through my right side, and my cohort who was to my right, it passed through her left side. VERY cold enegy, we both had a sharp intake of breathe at the same time and looked at each other with eyes WIDE open. Later when comparing notes, we found that we both experienced it the same.
It felt as though a cold slab of ice, fresh out of the freezer, came “through” us, not touching the outside of our skins, but keeping clearly INSIDE of skin of our shoulders, chest and on down through our legs, and quickly moving though my right side, and her left. Very different from the “norm”(if we even use that word for these experiences?). “Usually” it’s a slowly dropping temperature, followed by a cooling of skin and then inner body, the sensation coming externally.
This house was built on the spot where an old “stage” rest station, and some records indicate the posibility of a whore house, and later a hospital were built. The owner had found an antique syringe and an equally old container of “Lubricant” on the land. There was a very old oak tree that was cut down to build that house and the local stories were that a young black man was hung from that tree right about where the second story bedroom, and the “vortex opening” were.
I would love to hear if any others have had that kind of experience.

    Hi, Miss Krystal!
Last summer, we took my two girls and their friend to the Queen Mary. While we were outside of Churchill’s cabin door, we smelled cigar smoke. Then, I swear I saw a little boy, about 3-4 years old, running behind me, towards this couple that was at the other end of the hall. I turned to watch him, but he was no where to be seen! Down in the part of the ship where many lost their lives when the ship took on water from the accident, my daughter saw a sailor’s ghost. The Queen Mary is truly an amazing place.

Well, here is one for you. This morning it is raining mary here in the city of Los Angeles.
Being a Las Angelina, living here my entire life (minus one year back and forth to boca raton),
raining like this in June is very rare.
The spirits are just flying around like crazy today in this odd weather here. Would be a perfect time to connect with the other side, especially with a group…..
I think weather plays a role with spirits.
Who says it never rains in california?
    😉
    wanted to share.

    Hi Yamaya-
There are several mediums and channelers on this line that will for sure understand love your post.
I think we all go about it differently, however.
We all have our own unique way to handle ghosts/spirits/haunting etc.
I have been talking about queen mary in several posts. There are some psychics here in southern california who know, all too well how powerful that ship is with spirits. Last time I was there, I was downstairs, by the old kitchen, and I saw a little boy’s shadow –he was wearing a fancy old suit. The time before that, I connected with a spirit who was totally attached to the ship. Amazing!
    Thank you for sharing.
    Sending good vibrations,
    Miss Krystal
