Psychic Q&A: Bored and Purposeless

Purposeless or Purposeful?

Dear Cameron,

Hi there. I’m 36 years old and I feel like my life is over. My fears and mistakes led me to where I am now and I’m realizing I won’t be able to achieve my goals because I haven’t achieved them by now. I realize that some things are out of my control but I’m wondering if my best days are behind me. Am I living a purposeless existence?

A big part of me feels like I’m on this planet by mistake. In fact, I have always felt lost, misplaced, bored, and purposeless. I look at other people my age and I envy them. They have it all—marriage, kids, and a job that makes them happy. I don’t consider myself to be a negative person, but I’m wondering what all this is about. Do I have a reason to be here or am I just some kind of ghost going through the motions?

Thanks for your insights.

Andrea L.

Psychic Cameron ext. 5412 responds:

Dear Andrea,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write, and for sharing your experience with me. There are some readings that I believe most people can relate to, and feeling “I’m not successful enough” is one of them. While almost all of us have felt doubt at some time or another in our lives, there are times when we feel as if we have no purpose and that there’s nothing we can do to turn things around. However, that can all change when you read with a life path psychic like me. Life path readings are one of my favorite readings to give, and my guides respond very enthusiastically to them, so you have definitely come to the right place!

I have said it before and I will say it again: It’s my core belief that each and every one of us has a reason for being here and we’re all capable and deserving of finding happiness and fulfillment. No one is outside the circlenot even you, Andrea! Sometimes, however, we need a little bit of extra help to move in the direction of our dreams. I have asked my guides to concentrate and provide some guidance for you at this very critical time in your life where you are feeling purposeless.

My tarot cards reveal to me that you actually have great creative potential and that you often have visions of how you would like your life to be. But at some point, you began to stop trusting yourself and self-doubt began to take over. The Six of Cups beside the Ace of Wands reveals to me that you were probably a daydreamer as a childperhaps you were discouraged from doing that. Daydreaming is important! Daydreams and also dreaming at night are ways that our guides often reveal our purpose in life. Once we get a clear image of what it is we would like to achieve, we also need faith and action to back it up in order to keep from feeling purposeless.

One of the first places that I believe you must begin with is empathy. You are very hard on yourself and judgment, whether it’s judging ourselves or others, is one of the fastest ways to lose confidence and block the guidance that we are receiving from our guides. There are several cards with swords in your reading, which suggests to me that you have had challenging circumstances in your life that required your attention. I believe that everything we experience can teach us lessons, and so I want you to be kind to yourself and appreciate that these “departures” from your goal have been learning experiences. They are not indicators that your existence is purposeless.

I am also being shown that there is someone (The King of Swords) who will be supporting you when you are ready to take a step. This might be a male friend or family member who believes in you and who has also encouraged you in some way. Perhaps there is someone who has said, “Andrea, why don’t you go back to school?” or “You are so good at cooking. Why don’t you try catering?” It’s very important to listen to these messages. Sometimes the wisdom of our guides is confirmed by other people.

My sense is that you are closer, Andrea, to finding your path than you realize. You are not purposeless. With the Three of Cups and The Empress, I have faith that your dreams can come true. The Four of Swords suggests that you may want to consider a little bit of vision-travela vacation that you take on your own by the sea or in a cabin in the woods. Go on a retreat. You need rest and with nature around you, you can connect to your inner voice. You will find in this silence that you already have everything you need to achieve what you want.

And finally, again, please don’t judge yourself anymoreespecially about your age. 36 is a wonderful age, and Spirit can use you at any age whenever you’re ready. Some people are late bloomers and others achieve their greatest successes in their 50s and 60s.

Let Spirit know that you are ready to begin this new phase in your life and then buy a journal and begin to record any insights you receive. I see that December is a month where you will be invited to participating in an important career-building opportunity. When the time comes, just say yes! Many things will start to fall into place at that time.

Blessings,

Cameron

I’m 60 ( based in the UK) and feel I let a lot of opportunities pass me by, either because of circumstance or my own immaturity in my younger days, but my father concentrated on working to give us, his family a good life and a lovely home, and as he married Mum at 17, and they had us in their 20s neither of them travelled or went out much either Dad planned to do a lot with Mum once we’d left home and he retired, but it wasn’t to be as Mum had a stroke and passed on two years later, he was fortunate enough to meet with a lovely younger lady at bereavement counselling and they married two years later so at 70 he began doing all the things he couldn’t when he was looking after his family he’s 82 now, and has hardly been home, moving over to Lincolnshire from his home in Surrey last year and I hope I too can stay healthy and do the same
