Bastille Day

Viva la France! On this day in 1789, the revolutionary spirit of a Uranus in Leo and a Neptune in Libra influence converged as the oppressed people of Paris stormed the Bastille in defiance of Louis XVI. The Bastille was a military stronghold which had imprisoned many famous political dissidents – including Voltaire and the Marquis de Sade. The storming of the Bastille marked the start of the French Revolution and has remained an important symbol of “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.” To this day, the storming of the Bastille is commemorated as a French national holiday.
