I figured out the meaning that I didn't pick up when I last spoke with you. When we talked about Chuck and you said the spaghetti dinner, he nudged me, we laughed at a joke, that did happen, though the "nudging me" is more metaphorical. If I speak with him again he might poke fun at me reminding me of the awful spaghetti dinner I made for him when we first met. He's brought it up a few times and laughed about it. So you were right.
