Q: What is a callback?
A: A callback (also known as an “outdial”) is a service that allows customers to be placed on a psychic’s waiting list to be called back in the order the requests were submitted. Once the psychic logs on, the telephone system connects the psychic and the customer.
 
Q: How do callbacks work?

A: Callbacks are completed through the use of telephone technology. When the chosen psychic logs on, an outbound call is systematically made to the first customer on the callback waiting list. An automatic voice response system will prompt the customer to enter the last four digits of their personal identification number (PIN). When the last four digits of the PIN number are entered, then a second phone call is systematically routed to the psychic. A third phone line merges the customer and the psychic, completing the callback process.

 
Q: How do I set up a callback?
A: The process for receiving a callback from one of our psychics is simple and easy. First click the link located in the navigation bar above labeled "Our Psychics" and pick which reader you would like to speak with. Once you have selected a psychic click on the button below their biography, either labeled "Talk Now" or "Arrange to Talk", and you will be taken to that psychic’s profile.

On a psychic’s profile you will see a number of tabs, click on the tab labeled "Waiting List" and you will be taken to the list of callers currently waiting to speak with that psychic. To get on to a psychic’s waiting list simply click the button labeled "Arrange to Talk", enter your phone number, and the amount of time you’re willing to wait for a call, and click "Submit." It's that easy! You can setup a Callback 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

In order to set up a callback and at the time of your callback, you need to have a minimum of 10 minutes or dollar equivalent on your account.
 
Q: How can I check the status of my callback?

A: You can check the status of your callback by logging onto the California Psychic’s membersite. Once logged in, at the bottom of the left hand menu your place in line will automatically be displayed. In addition, there is also a link titled, "View the current Waiting List" which will display your place in line along with a breakdown of the estimated number of minutes each caller ahead of you has.

 
Q: Can I change my callback telephone number after a callback has been set up?
A: Yes. To change the callback telephone number you have 2 options. You may either change your phone number online by clicking the "Change Your Phone Number" link found in the left hand navigation display once you are logged in to the website, or you may call Customer Service at 1.800.573.4784 . Customer Service agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist you.
 
Q: What if I become unavailable to take my callback?
A: If you become unavailable to take your callback, we ask that you cancel your request online or give Customer Service a call at 1.800.573.4784 . The maximum amount of customers that can be put in a psychic’s callback waiting list is six, so by canceling your callback it may allow other customers to have the opportunity to read with their favorite psychic.
 
Q: How is the callback time frame determined?
A: The maximum amount of time that a callback can be set for is 48 hours, which is the default time frame used by Customer Service agents. Should you only be available to take a callback for a few hours, please make the Customer Service agent aware of your availability. Customer Service has the ability to set the callback time frame anywhere from 15 minutes up to 48 hours. If you are submitting your callback request online, you too will have the ability to choose your time frame anywhere from 15 minutes up to 48 hours.

Please keep in mind, this does not guarantee you will get the call within the chosen time frame, as it is only setting the amount of time you are willing to wait for a callback.
 
Q: Will I have the ability to change the time frame once a callback has been submitted?
A: Once a callback is submitted, the original time frame chosen cannot be altered. If you would like to change the callback time frame, the original callback request must be deleted and a new request submitted. If you choose to cancel your callback or change your callback time frame, you will lose your original place in the callback waiting list.
 
Q: What happens if my callback time frame expires?
A: If you have not received the callback and the time frame chosen expires, the callback request will be systematically removed from the psychic’s callback waiting list. If you wish to submit another callback request, either submit the request online or call Customer Service at 1.800.573.4784 . Customer Service agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist you.
 
Q: Why is my callback time frame limited if my callback telephone number is in a Canadian area code?
A: Due to Canadian national laws, callback requests cannot be completed during certain restricted hours. Calls cannot be completed Monday through Friday after 9:30 PM local time and before 9:00 AM local time, on Saturday and Sunday calls cannot be completed after 6 PM local time and before 10:00 AM local time.  
 
Q: How are estimated wait and call times determined?
A:We do our best to estimate your wait time based on a variety of factors including customer call length history. However, these are estimates and should be used as a general guideline rather than a precise indicator.
 
Q: Why can’t I set up a callback if I’m calling internationally?
A: Due to international communications regulations, callbacks cannot be made to international telephone numbers.
 
Q: When will my psychic log on again?
A:  Each individual psychic reading on our line provides us with a schedule. As independent contractors, it is the psychic’s responsibility to adhere to that schedule.
 
Q: Why did the psychic log off before calling me back?
A:  Due to the fact that the callback waiting list is always changing, a psychic may log off because they believe they have completed readings for all the customers who were on their callback waiting list. Because we value the privacy of our customers, psychics are not provided with detailed information about the customers on their callback waiting lists. When a psychic logs on to begin readings they are only provided with the total number of customers on their callback waiting list. They are not provided with the names of the customers or amount of minutes each customer has on their personal identification number (PIN).

In addition, because we want our customers to have the best readings possible, psychics have the ability to log off to rejuvenate their mind and body. Performing readings can be mentally, physically and emotionally draining, so allowing a psychic to log off to refresh ensures that the next customer on the wait list will get the best reading possible.

 
Q: Why haven’t I received a callback yet?
A: As independent contractors, psychics create their own schedules and have the ability to log off as needed (click here for further details). A psychic may log off due to their schedule restrictions or because of special circumstances (family emergencies, illness, etc.), prior to completing all the callbacks on their callback waiting list.

A: Several factors can contribute to a customer not receiving a callback. A psychic may log off prior to completing all the callbacks on their callback waiting list.
