What's it Like to be a Teen Psychic?

Here is a story about a teenage psychic whose specialty is in seeing auras. The full interview will be on 20/20 tomorrow night.

My question for all of you wonderful psychics…what was it like for you growing up with your gifts? Readers, did you have any psychic happenings as children?

I’m a teen psychic. And it’s a gift. And it’s a curse. Spirits visit me. I see aura. I have visions in my dreams. That’s only a start. It helps because it causes me to be empathetic, being able to know about people emotions but knowing peoples pain is terrible. You can’t go up to someone and say ” I understand what you’re going through! I wanna help” they would probably give me blank stares…

I absolutely agree that children are the most receptive. It seems that when we go to school and start socializing, that’s when the ability to see the other side diminishes. I know that when I was young I had an “imaginary friend” who I played with and talked to constantly. I stopped seeing her as often when I went to elementary school. But she is my Guide, as I believe all “imaginary friends” are. That’s why it makes me sad when I see parents tease or lecture their children about what they perceive as imagination. My niece used to be able to see her dead grandmother (who died long before her birth) when she was very young, and she would clap whenever she saw a picture of an angel. But once she went to school that faded as well. It is sad, really.

    Hi julybabytoo,
I’m really fascinated by the idea of astral travel/projection, and I would love to hear more about your experience. Would you consider sharing it with us?
    Have a great weekend!

During my Near Death Experience, I was shown that under the age of 12 children were able to see both sides of the world through there 3rd eye as well as there eyes connected to this planet.
Some children because of there upbringing were taught to dismiss what they truly were seeing and those who grew up with parents and loved ones who were open to what it was that the child was seeing they were given a choice to continue to have the ability to keep there 3rd eye open through out there life, so your experience is very profound and fascinating to me, Thank you for sharing your experience….
    Blessings, Hugs and Hearts,

When I was around 5 yrs old I announced to everyone in the room that I had ESP! For some reason I knew what that meant. My older brother (9 yrs older) said, “ok then show us what you can do!” I stood there for a moment, seriously considering the question and then simply announced, “the phone is going to ring!” and within a few seconds the phone rang, everyone gasped in amazement! From that moment forward I would always know when the phone was going to ring.
On a similar note, when I was 13 I would lie on my bed trying oh so hard to astral project! I had read an article about it in a magazine and was convinced it would be so easy! Well it finally happened just the other day! It’s only been 39 years since I read that article, but the cool thing about this experience, it was a spontaneous astral projection!!
Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I watched this segment of 20/20. I thought it was amazing and it sure made me think of Red and many others here at CP. I think it really gave me more faith in my readings too. Thanks for suggesting it Jen. It was very interesting and I am so glad I tuned in to the show. And I had no idea they had a camp for these kids. So cool.
