The Lifespan of a Psychic

Psychic Wisdom for All Stations in Life

Asking my mom a question at the age of nine that a nine year old should not even have thoughts about was the first time that I realized I knew more than what the grown-ups were telling me, and that it was not coming from a place I could put my finger on. So for many years I just rolled with my precognitive thoughts, until I hit my seventeenth year.

That was the start of my evolution into the spiritual sciences, beginning with astrology. I must admit, I don’t know where or how or who gave me my first deck of Tarot cards, but Tarot has become one of my passions.

My path began by reading for my family, my middle sister calling me a witch because I knew the trouble she was in, yet my parents did not feel my word was valid. I still moved forward, putting together charts and delighting in my new found gifts.

These tools served me well through my dating years, as I did readings for all who came into my life. The twenties were fun; college friends were curious about my abilities and turned me on to others who read with different tools, and my circle became wider.

In my thirties I was more balanced and grounded—and started to barter for readings. This was fun, and very cost effective for everyone involved. Often I would actually get paid in cash money, which was always a good thing. By this time I had been meditating and chanting for quite a few years, which enhanced my abilities even more. Being a Buddhist, I found so many who loved talking about karma, giving me a great foundation to move forward in the psychic realm.

By my forties, I was all grown up, solid, experienced and full of wisdom. I was about to read for a more diverse group of people and started my path working on the psychic lines. It was much to my amazement that I was able to do twenty or more readings a day, and after a year or two I was on a roll, one I will keep going on for as long as I can.

The fifties came and went way too fast. They were a happy time of gathering new information and learning more about myself and my art. I started to write as the computer age really stepped up its game and I found I had an audience to share my information with. I became a blogger, an e-group mentor and wrote newsletters and did cable TV readings along with radio readings. Work became my joy, and my joy became my work.

Now in my sixties, I am a seasoned reader. My knowledge base has been broadened by a community of readers of all venues that I have connected with. It truly is a blessing.

The one thing that I must admit is that in the beginning I was very organic, pure if you will, uncluttered with knowledge. As I look back, I think my readings were perhaps just as good as they are now.

There are so many young people working the line, and if you are thinking of getting a reading from one of them but think “How can a young person help me?”, let me just say that being psychic is ageless. The place where the information comes from is timeless and pure. I think we all need a youthful energy in our favorite list of readers… along with the seasoned.
