Astral Projection: 3 Steps

Astral projection has been around for thousands of years. The idea that man is in control of his environment, and the connection between his thoughts and experiences has been a hot topic in both scientific and spiritual circles. There have been so many misconceptions about astral projection because it’s been poorly described by many. In an effort to squash some of the myths surrounding astral projection, author Edain McCoy helps to set the record straight about what it is and how to actually do it.

Reality can be defined as the creation of thought, and its projection into the physical realm. In the world of astral projection, the conscious mind leaves the physical body and moves into the astral plane. The astral plane is defined as encompassing the “entire physical and non-physical universe.” In Astral Projections for Beginners, McCoy describes it as “the art of sending forth the consciousness at will to other places, other worlds, or other times, and then bringing it back with full knowledge of what has been experienced.”

To help you get a better understanding, here’s McCoy’s detailed step-by-step guide:

Step 1: The Foundation
There are only three prerequisites for astral projection. First, if you’re serious about this, you must try it in a quiet and safe environment.

Second, your body must be warm and in a relaxed position. Since this requires a great deal of calm, you must be completely comfortable in a posture that minimizes movement. Finally, it’s really important that your consciousness be altered by some form of meditative practice.

Meditation, for some, can be a feat in of itself. McCoy suggests different meditative practices ranging from controlled breathing, mental counting, chanting, and visualization. They all produce the desired effect. The purpose of meditation is to lower your brain waves and allow your mind to relax enough to accommodate the desired astral projection.

Step 2: Keeping Track

Get a journal to jot down your experiences. McCoy suggests chronicling things like time of day, weather conditions, planetary astrological information, etc. This information will, over time, paint an accurate picture about your astral projection success to failure ratio. It will be easier to determine what elements make for a more successful projection experience. You’ll get a greater perspective on the overall experience, too.

Step 3: Spring Cleaning
To make sure you have a positive experience, you’ve got to be open to cleaning out your chakras, also known as “energy centers,” that are found throughout the body. There are seven chakra centers that correspond to different mental, emotional, and physical functions. Since psychic messages and energy pass through these chakras, it’s key to make sure that they are clean. By making chakra cleansing a routine, the energy flow will remain unblocked. You’ll have an optimal experience.

You’ve got to do some exercises for each chakra. Get ready for a full list. Chakracise your crown chakra through prayer or meditation. Clear your brow with visualization, remote viewing, and lucid dreaming. Cleanse your throat chakra by gargling with saltwater, singing, or screaming. For your heart chakra, do some push ups, swimming (breast stroke), and hug yourself. It works! If you dance, you can clear your solar plexus. Try The Twist, hoola hooping, and belly dancing. Performing pelvic thrusts and circular pelvis movements clear your sacral chakras. Try stomping your feet upon the ground, marching, and doing squats to clear your root chakras, and chakracise your aura by showering, soaking an epsom salt bath, smudging with sage wand, or deep cleansing breaths.

Be sure to use your favorite incense, oils, ointments, or any other aids like candles to help you relax and feel comfortable. Many people have said that their astral experiences were successful because they used these tools. Did it work for you?

    Hey there!!
It’s inspiring! I am a new bee in lucid dreaming and astral projection…
    Truly,its really fascinating!
Can you you please give some advice on what to do when i am about to lose control(i.e. when i am about to fall asleep) I mean it happens with me that very soon i drift into ‘sleep’ where i have no control unlike the few times that i could successfully design and direct my lucid dreaming experiences.
I wish that i can do that successfully every time i intend to do it. Rather i wish to make it into a habit.
    I just love the experience!!
    Thanks
    Anticipating your reply.
    Thanks again.

In a position(laying down)no restraint on your person, like self hypnosis, just relax your mind-breath deep 3 or 4 times(loosen diaphram to make it effortless to breath-now feel in your mind, your feet relaxing-then ankles and calves/thighs/hips/midsection/hands/then forearms/bi & triceps/chest/shoulders/neck/ultimately your whole body(thus your brain waves)now with your eyes closed all this time, picture your surroundings
your bed/things on your dresser/the next room/your house or building/picture the frame or this structure like matchsticks that began to take form as it was being built/where you are in relation to these sticks, laying there in your position as if looking outside yourself at yourself in a three dimentional view…
if you can accomplish this? you’re 99.9% there
you tell me what happens next ? good luck !!!

Just before President Obama took office, while living in Washington, and without any thoughts about him I astral projected to him.
I was in a relaxed mood and had just cleared my chakras.
He was coming out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist and with another one he was drying his hair.
The water was beated up on his legs and arms.
I was leaning against a crendenza, and he looked at me undisturbed by my presence, as though I belonged there and said, “now it begins.” I said yes.
I understood that he was talking about taking his presidental office in three days, and what the office responsibilities entailed.
Just as quickly I returned back.

I do have a CP client who has been engaged in a relationship on the Astral plane for nearly 4 years. I read for the client several times on manifesting the astral plane relationship into this world. The client recently moved overseas to be in the geographical area best indicated to meet the other party in the relationship, and called to say they have met and are in the beginning stages of a relationship.
This article is great on a very interesting topic.
    Sincerely,
