This is a really sweet story posted as a comment on our “How To Communicate With Animals” blog.
“My huband was a very thoughtful and giving soul, whatever I wanted I got but there’s one thing that he would never let me have because of his allergies…a little teacup Yorkie! Now I know Yorkies are allergy free so I knew there was more to it than met the eye. Then one day (when I was critically ill) he asked me if I wanted to go check out this little dog he found in the newspaper one morning.
“Someone selling a Yorkie, would you like to go take a look?”
I was indeed ecstatic so we went to look at this darling little Yorkie that they called ‘Tiny’ and she melted my heart in an instant! He asked if I’d like to have her as I squealed YESSSS! We took her home and I renamed her. You will be named Mooshu I told her…that was the name that I had picked out for the Yorkie I would maybe buy for myself one day.
The first thing he made me do was have her spayed and a few weeks later he left me for another woman. I guess the dog was to fill the void in my heart and boy did she ever! She became the LOVE of my LIFE. As my world collapsed and the rug felt like it was just pulled from under my feet – he left me. Confused, sick and alone I became devastated and until this very day I cannot believe he could have done this to me BUT, the love that I cannot seem to find from him anymore had been suddenly taken over by this little dog who literally “saved my life!”
Mooshu had become my new mentor, my new best friend, my confidant, and the love of my life. She taught how to love again. She gave me faith and hope and trust and compassion. She gave me “loyalty” the greatest gift of all! I’ve never been so loved by something so sweet and small. My Moo is the best present he had ever given me and he was quite a giving man to say the least. Material things, cars, jewelry, furs, antiques, clothes – you name it I got it but it seems nothing came “with love.” Then one day he buys me this little puff of fur and my whole life completely changed. I learned the true value of life, the true value of love and the TRUE value of a dollar. It’s not what you pay for in this world it’s what you get out of it that teaches you the most valuable lessons!
Mooshu is the light of my life today. I’m not sure what I’m going to do without her when she goes because I haven’t learned to trust men since then but I do trust that God had a purpose for me to have this little creature that my husband would rather have lived without. God wanted me to know that I could find loyalty in something and a love that no man can compare to. Thank you my darling husband for being such a great giver of hope! I wish you the best too! Sincerely, thanks for all the treasured memories! Husbands: A dime a dozen. Teacup Yorkies: PRICELESS!
