This is What Love Looks Like

What Does Love Look Like to You?

Ah, love. It exists in many forms. It is universal, transcending all time and space. Love is many things to many people, but it is always love. But what does love look like? Perhaps you are familiar with a fairly popular quote about love that is often said at weddings:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

“True love is like good takeout: 30 minutes later you look for more.” – Psychic Berlin ext. 5370

Even though we may sometimes fall in and out of love, while we are in it, this is what love looks like, at least that’s what we hope for when we make that deep connection with someone special.

As we grow through life’s many cycles such as teenage, adulthood, old age and all the places in between, love looks like many different things. As we grow, who we are changes, what we need changes, and the way we feel and express love changes too – still, love is always love.

Love is in Charge

Love can be simple and at the same time challenging. It can be exhilarating and exasperating all at once. Love makes us choose selfless acts over being selfish. One thing that’s for sure, we do not rule love; love rules us. In this manner, love is very clear. It has no need to hide and, actually, it begs to be shouted about to the world.

Love can show up unexpectedly and unannounced and barge into our lives. Sometimes we may choose to love, and sometimes we have no choice at all in whom we love, it just happens. Love is more powerful than a sudden summer storm and as soft as an air-blown kiss.

“Is there such a thing as true love? Yes there is!” – Psychic Marin ext. 5113

This is What Love Really Looks Like

When we try to think of what love looks like, it can conjure many different pictures in our heads: A couple holding hands even after 50 years together or two young lovers gazing into each other’s eyes. Love is a feeling, and so it can manifest in many forms, but it is not hard to see.

When love exists it does give us some clues that it’s there, such as the twinkle in our eyes, the glow on our faces and the pure radiance of love that emanates like a light inside of us. That’s what love looks like.

What a wonderful message. It has taken me fifty-plus years also to find true love. I knew the first day I met my fiancee that he would be my husband one day! It was a special feeling that I had. I promise, something that i never felt before in my entire life. Thank-you GOD. We will be getting married in three days. We have been together since the first day we met, which was two years Aug. 28th, 2012. I will continue to read this sight. Glad I found it.

I loved this article. As someone who just went through a breakup after 5 years, it makes me happy and reassured to think of my parent’s love that lasted 57 years. I want that and am not going to give on finding it!

I’ve never seen or experienced true love so at this point at middle age, I am not so sure if it really exists.

True love, for me anyway, is a couple holding hands even after 50 years together ….having survived the ups & downs, and still strong.

Amen! My parents are still madly in love after 51 years. My childhood memories are of my dad wrapping his arms around my mother as she washed dishes and nibbling her neck. He would then grab a towel and dry. They have always been a team…everyone should have this!
