What Dreams May Come

Dreams can be wonderful. Dreams can be frightening. Dreams can really make us stop and think. But  what exactly is a dream?

A dream is a venture into our personal unconscious. We are able to learn about our inner realms because the unconscious mind cloaks hidden aspects of ourselves in familiar images and symbols that we can recognize. This is where we discover ideas, beliefs and inspirations we didn’t even know we had. By exploring our dreams and learning the symbolic language of them, we can discover more about who we really are. In this way, we can experience a richer, more integrated life.

The first step lies in remembering your dreams. Tell yourself and the Universe that you WANT to remember. Making that conscious choice creates the right atmosphere to recall more. Leave a journal or pad of paper on your night table so you can easily record anything.

In dream class, I teach my group of students that any dream can be recalled, even if only a fragment is known. We have pulled some amazing dreams from only pieces. So, even if you don’t recall your entire dream, just write down the fragments you do recall.

When we dream our bodies become very still as if we are watching something, which of course we are – we’re watching our own dreams. Once we move, our dreams, like gossamer webs, are likely to fade and be forgotten. No matter how much we try, once we leave our beds our dreams are gone.

Sleep is required for the rejuvenation of the body and dreams play a part in this. Working with dreams on a regular basis can show the way to the workings of your rich, inner life. Dreams can help solve problems and work through blockages if you’ll take the time to record and listen to them. They can certainly help us along our life’s path if we simply stop and take the time to listen.

Next week we’ll explore different types of dreams!

    Hi feelinsparkly,
Those are some fairly complex dreams that your psychic could better help you with in person…..Angel and Randall are excellent at dreamwork……as are myself and other psychics at CP

    * I posted this in reply to another post but was thinking it might be more appropriate to ask the question here? I changed the questions at the end a bit.. thank you! *
Over the last few months I dream frequently about the man in question in my life. And strangely (or maybe not lol) it seems the dreams have mirrored the journey that Angel and Randall (and others) have seen in readings. My relationship in my dreams has evolved from dreams that have his friends pushing me away and me crying and running after him to more evolved confirming dreams (in one an old high school boyfriend / best friend confirmed to him that I did yes in fact love him) We always end up together in the end of the dreams but the early ones had so much pain and suffering in the process.
The other night I had a dream about him again and he showed up passed out on my couch after going out with friends (my house is kind of a crash pad for my son and his surfer friends too so its not uncommon to walk downstairs and see someone sleeping on the couch) and in the dream I’m happy to see him and am nurturing and caring. It flowed in and out like he lived here or at least spent alot of time here which is a huge change. Things were still awkward between us a bit and the dream ended with me in his arms asking if we could go on a date this weekend. He looked in my eyes searchingly saw confirmation of love and trust and said yeah. We hugged and I woke shortly after. It was very very real it took me a minute after I woke to get my bearings…
What do you think? Is that indicating evolution of the relationship and am I being shown signs? Or is it just my subconscious processing? or is that one and the same?

    In response to Mary Flumano,
Thank you Mary. I know what you are experiencing with these vivid dreams that you find yourself in that scene long time after the dream. Yes, it is your guides giving you the “heads up” deal.
    enjoy these dreams

If I go to solvang (from the other post) before you do, I will find out directions for you about the waterfall. But I know if you asked someone they would direct you.
I think you would be in awwwww…
    That waterfall is something else…
    Worth the hike!!

Thanks, Gina Rose. I’m going to give it a try tonight.
I went to a conference last month and attended a seminar given by Denise Linn (what a wonderful lady). It was all about dreams. She talked about astral travel during sleep. Wouldn’t it be cool if a bunch of us could pick a location and “meet” on the astral plane (and make sure we include those cabana boys!! — Phillip, you’re invited too…we’ll just include lei-wearing women for you! haha)

Josepha, I loved how you distinguished the difference between late night and morning dreams.
Many psychics have told me that my guides come to me through my dreams because I’m not paying attention to them and they are trying to get through. I have even heard a crystal clear female voice speak to me as I am awakening (this only happened a few times).
I seem to know that I’m on my path through my dreams (even if I don’t necessarily understand what the path is). I have vivid moments in my dreams, and I have now realized that they are precogniative (sp?). I will be in a unfamiliar space and I am experiencing feelings in my dreams.
Years later (sometimes even 3-7 yrs) I will realize that I have dreamt that moment exactly.
I haven’t figured out why I would even dream of it, there are not anything particularly dramatic (in fact the only reason I even remember the particular dream that it was so VIVID for some reason) but I realize that if I dreamt it and I then experience it than I must be on a certain path meant in my life.

    Hi Jacqueline-
I think there is truth to that. We are both mediums (you and me) and so we can send out energy into the world and universe, not just receive energy, and we know this from how we channel….Even in a dream state….There is a lot of power in that…You don’t have to be a medium. I teach a lot of curious minds how to use their mind as a laser.
I don’t know if you get this, but I have no problem at all helping people understand their dreams. However, my own have stunned me….There are so many messages in dreams….The mind is so powerful.
    Thanks,
    Miss Krystal

    Yes Fran,
It IS very normal to wake up from a dream, and fall asleep, only to pick up the dream where it was when you woke up.
( I do it all the time ).
Yes…Guides often make contact in the dream state….because it is easier when our active minds are quiet.
..Guides will enter, as I tell my students, ” thru the back door”, when we are asleep.
Try to meditate right before you fall asleep, focusing on your questions….it may take a bit of practice…
And Fran, remember,my Guides told you that you ARE very psychic in the dream state …..

I always have the most vivid dreams. It’s like watching a movie every night. (Isn’t it nice that I can entertain myself?? Haha!) And I usually remember most of them. When I wake up, I just lie there very still and go over all the events of the dream so that I’ll have total recall. One cool thing about my dreams is that I’m always SKINNY in them! (Ah, I love the way my subconscious mind works!) I’ll dream sometimes about people I know, but a lot of the time I don’t know who the people are. I don’t know that I’ve eve seen them before.
Has anyone else ever been able to wake up from a dream, and then fall asleep again only to continue the same dream? I do that sometimes, especially when the dream is particularly detailed and interesting. Before going back to sleep, I’ll even tell myself that I want to finish the dream (like after a trip to the bathroom).
Do you think it’s possible for our Guides to come to us in our dreams in answer to questions we have for them? Is it possible for us to ask them to do that? Just curious, because I’d like to try it one of these nights.
    Lots of hugs,
    Fran
(p.s. — thanks, Jacqueline, for your dream interpretation. I think you really hit the nail on the head)

An interesting dream I want to share:
last week, as my dad’s birthday was approaching and I was talking to my guides, asking them if they thought my dad was returning soon?
Two nights ago I was dreaming that my dad was asking me to find him an apartment. He asked me to find an apartment where he can b.b.q on the balcony because he wanted to eat meat and salad. My brother, who is also on the other side, told me where I can find my dad an apartment, and I woke up. I called my friend who is great at dream interpretaion and she said” don’t you see? your dad is looking for a body to come back. Then I remembered the converation I had with my guides and realized there is my answer. Isn’t that amazing? I will keep you posted if anyone in my family gets preganant soon. lol

In response to psychic Jacqueline, yes my guides told me that I do work for another dimension when I am asleep. They said I help people go through the Pearly gates. I guess that means help people cross over or get oriented. So yes it’s true.
There is a difference between dreaming early in the night and towards the morning. The first dreams are a clean-up and a “filling’ if you will, of the day’s events. The morning dreams are more more premenitions and or psychic dereams.
I started remembering my dreams by keeping a journal by my bed, the way Gina Rose suggested.

I love going into the dream state, Dolores Cannon a Hypnotherapist out of Huntsville Arkansas, she does regressions and has written many books on findings from people and time lines she has found through this process, she talks about how when we sleep we actually do work for others in different dimensions, not sure if it’s true but it does make some since, it would explain why we wake up so tired or disoriented…..
    Hmmmmm, just a thought.
    Have a wonderful, Extraordinary Day!

    One more thought….
Just by readings some of the OTHER psychic’s postings on dreams in here…..California Psychics offer a great selection of many, many good and talented psychics that offer dream analysis…
Dreams can be extremely complex in theme content and symbolism ….so if in doubt, try your favorite psychic of choice… it might help also to have your dream journal handy when you call….
    Sweet Dreams !!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
Not ALL dreams are psychic premonitions of events to come…..when the physical body falls asleep the brain doesn’t,… and will continue
to ” work on solving ” the problems encountered in daily life routine. ( LEFT brain function/logical, analytical side of brain).
When we are worried about certain events in our lives the mind will sometimes, during sleep ,work out several scenarios,or solutions,to the particular problem……usually by symbols.
The same symbols, however, can mean different things to different people.
Psychic dreams,( Right side of brain function/psychic/creative side),though, are usually VERY vivid in detail, rich in color, and emotional content. They are the type of dream, etched into your mind, the type of dream that you could describe to somebody twenty years later….
I was taught dream analysis by one of the top Psychiatrists in the country today,it helps me decipher, left brain, dreams….
…BUT, as a professional psychic, my Guides help me decipher the psychic, right brain, dreams one has.
Sometimes, a person’s own Guides will ” enter thru the back door” while one is asleep, and “brush up” against the sub-concious mind,to give answers in the dream state. Those are psychic dreams.
It is normal for dreams to run into one another…..to have several dreams, and themes, running back to back, blending into each other, but with NO real connection to each other.
It is also normal to have “layered dreams”, clinical ( left brain) or psychic ( right brain), with two or three messages encoded in symbols …in other words a single symbol have MORE than one meaning at the same time.
It is also normal to have a clinical dream running alongside of a psychic ream with a hidden psychic meaning or message.
Decoding your dreams can be very complex….yes, it is good to keep a journal to learn what certain symbols mean for YOU.
