No one has to remind us that these are tough job hunting times, but it's not impossible to find work in this economic climate if you just hunker down and make your search "your job," says psychic Tracy ext. 9664 who gets calls on career changes and job hunts regularly. "What do you see?" Thomas (not his real name) asked Tracy. He said he called because he had nailed down interviews for what sounded like three very good career possibilities.
Tracy asked her caller to name each company and the position he was seeking, so she could read the energy of each company, the people he would be working with and the working conditions.
"You will get offers on all three jobs," Tracy told Thomas. "The choice will be up to you."
"Okay?" He sighed, wanting to hear more.
The first, job, Thomas had told Tracy, might be his dream job. It was in sales and marketing for a professional football team.
"It's a highly competitive atmosphere. The benefits are good, but the salary will be lower than what you expect in the beginning. They will be in control of your time. It's a lifestyle, more than a job," Tracy described.
The second was an outside sales position for a sporting goods company, which would require a great deal of travel. Thomas was excited about seeing more of the country, but worried that a heavy travel schedule would limit his possibilities of meeting someone and starting a family in the coming years.
"I don't think you'll even consider this job seriously. Ask plenty of questions on the interview. I believe they're unorganized, and their financial standing looks shaky. It looks like they've had a revolving door situation with employees."
"Whoa… I'm looking for a place where I can grow and stay awhile," said Thomas.
The third possibility would require a move back to his home state of Colorado and was a sales position for which he was qualified. The job was for a well-established "mom and pop" owned, well-respected recruiting agency. He had been recommended for the job, but he was worried about his lack of experience in the world of professional staffing.
"They already want you because of your sales experience," the intuitive responded immediately. "You got the kind of recommendation they were looking for. They'll also pay some of the bill to relocate you. The owners are a family oriented couple, who expect hard work, but want their employees to have a personal life, as they do."
And that was the whole conversation, Tracy remembers. He just said, "Hey, thanks," enthusiastically and hung up.
About a month later, Thomas called again. He refreshed Tracy's memory as to where they had left off, and then told her he had turned down the first two jobs and had already begun working at the executive search firm in Colorado. The job scenarios were as Tracy had described. His new employers, Thomas added, were an impressive and dynamic couple who were informative and patient with him during training, yet he was still worried about his future on the new job. "Am I going to be able to cut it?"
"Do some ambitious research on your competition… I see your future there as being very bright."
"Wow! That's exactly what my employers suggested," Thomas revealed happily.
"And, by the way, you have no idea how much it helped to have the confidence that I would get an offer from each company, when I went in to interview," he told Tracy with gratitude.
"There are jobs out there," Tracy believes from her experiences with callers on the lines. "The economic situation doesn't have to affect everyone. If you're calm and centered in your job search, and you're not afraid to look hard, even if you've been turned down or let go from a job, you're less likely to attract chaos," psychic Tracy believes from her intuitive readings topped with her own experiences in the business world.
