A Long Love Story

Persistence pays off

Every now and then, a relationship that looks like it's going nowhere, takes off. Sometimes patience has its rewards, even if the odds don't appear to be stacked up in favor of a particular pair. After seven years of casual togetherness, Vanessa, 38, a self-made successful business owner, madly in love with Ethan, 42, a divorced father of one, became panicky over his latest bout of seeming indifference towards her. It was nothing Vanessa could put her finger on, but she found herself demanding his attention out of anger and fear. Uncomfortable with her behavior towards her sweet but reclusive boyfriend, she called the psychic to find out when and if he would finally change.

"Will our relationship work out?" asked the architect who had had an "electric" response unlike anything she had ever experienced upon first meeting the man she had hired to consult for her company.

Leah asked for their names and birthdays, which the Clairvoyant and Empath says alters her state of mind. "What happens when I have connected psychically is that I actually feel a buzz once I'm in that state," she describes. "When I connect I begin talking - it just flows."

The first thing, the psychic understood was that Ethan had deep feelings for Vanessa. But it was as if he had made a choice not to participate passionately in any relationship. "You get frustrated and blow up and it could damage the threads of your connection," Leah advised her client. "He could break away. His spirit appears to have been crushed… He's difficult to connect with… He's deeply bitter."

Vanessa told the reader that Ethan wasn't comfortable with relationships and had been upfront with the information. He had married the mother of his son under severe pressure. He had given up a great deal to marry her - a scholarship. Yet less than half way through their ten-year marriage, he later uncovered, she had begun an affair.

"What I found unusual about this couple is that logically I should have been telling Vanessa to run - and quickly! Instead, as a Clairvoyant, I could see a soul connection - a little thin ethereal cord that was all lit up and shimmery," she explained. "As she looked into what they were meant to do together in this lifetime, Leah felt that Vanessa was to help him heal him. Her client was just fine with that information.

"Then you need to know... if you are easier on him, the relationship can unfold. You will have to trust that patience will win over pressure in this situation," she advised. Satisfied, Vanessa asked Leah about her business.

"I call this a love project," Leah describes. Over the next year, the intuitive helped Vanessa with her patience - always reminding her that if the relationship became emotionally painful, she might need to rethink her feelings.

Leah kept seeing Ethan smirking at Vanessa, acting reserved but actually quite taken by her love and her actions. During one of their follow-up readings, Leah saw Vanessa getting acupuncture. She also saw her with a child. "Have you been thinking about having a family?" the psychic asked.

"Actually, it may seem strange but I'm so happy being an aunt, running my business and spending time with Ethan's son that I honestly haven't given it any thought," she revealed to the reader. "But I am getting acupuncture treatments. I've been feeling a bit out of sorts lately."

Months later, Vanessa called Leah in a panic. "I'm pregnant and I know Ethan's going to flip out."

"He will flip out. His first response might be a bit ugly," the psychic with over 25 years of experience warned. "Just don't believe him. It won't be his heart speaking. Tell him that you understand he's confused, then leave and let him come to you…"

Leah had been right, Vanessa told her on the next call. He was in shock. She did walk away. Ethan called later, asking if they could talk over dinner and he proposed! They married three weeks later and are now setting up the nursery.

Leah is quick to explain that Ethan did not change. His heart opened.

Vanessa knows that her husband may still become distant in the future, but she accepts him unconditionally, just as she had for the last eight years. You have to accept a person as they are, Leah cautions. You can't change anyone. If you can't hang in there and love them as they are, then you're looking for someone else and maybe you don't know it!
