When they hung up, she decided to follow him to the gym. Sure enough, she caught him kissing and flirting with the receptionist. When she approached them, the woman grew horrified. She had no idea he was in a relationship and she had been seeing Oliver for the past two years! Of course, Samantha reached out to Zach for comfort and support. "To tell you the truth I didn't even need to do a pros and cons list, I knew he wasn't really present with me. But I can't believe he lied. What a scumbag. So now what Zach?" she asked.
The psychic suggested she cut off all contact and that she stand her ground. He was going to beg, but he was never going to change. He also advised her to take some time for herself and that when the time came, she should give her ex-husband a second chance.
Samantha didn't believe her ex, a workaholic and former alcoholic, would ever apologize but she decided to give Zach the benefit of the doubt since he'd been right before. Zach assured her that he'd grown up a lot since their separation. He'd realized her worth and he wasn't going to make the same mistakes again.
Thanks to Zach, Samantha cut off all contact with Oliver. She even went so far as to change her phone number. She wasn't going to allow him to toy with her emotions. She wanted a partnership, a return on her investment.
Four months later, her ex-husband asked Samantha out to dinner and during the course of the evening admitted that letting her go had been the biggest mistake he'd ever made. He wanted his family back and he was willing to do the work. Today Samantha and her husband are going to counseling and she's finally getting the emotional nourishment she deserves. She's getting back what she's putting in, and that's a good sign
