My Reading With Verbena

A kitten shares her sass

When I reached my mid-twenties I felt it was time for me to have something to take care of. Being too old for dolls and too young for real children, I decided to get a kitten. This was a big deal as I've always considered myself a dog person and have never been particularly fond of cats. When I was introduced to the litter, I was struck by a little gray ball of fur - the size of my cell phone - with tiger stripes and blue eyes. She came over, bit a button off of my sweater and then passed out on my arm. It was love at first sight.

Cats have a bad rap for being sneaky, cunning and aggressively independent. Even so, I wanted my cat to love me! I gave her the most uniquely awesome name I could - Bowie Stardust - so that she would always have fun theme music and an edge over other cats. I also began a campaign of incessant hugging so she'd see that affection was good.

I didn't want to overdo it, and I noticed the kitty had begun being aggressive toward my boyfriend and a close friend. Being insecure and wanting Bowie's approval, I decided to find out what was really up, so I called Verbena ext. 9615.

"This has never happened to me before with an animal, but I actually received a message from Bowie several days ago!" Verbena told me when she answered my call. She told me that Bowie's feistiness had come through and her guides were concerned the kitten would get too curious and run away. They warned me to get her fixed as soon as possible. I was wary of this since I had taken her outside a number of times and she was always very timid.

I changed gears. Since I had gotten her from a friend, I was able to tell Verbena Bowie's birth date. When she did Bowie's chart some interesting information came out. My little Leo kitten has keen psychic ability and her main purpose on Earth is to be a healer.

"Bowie's morning ritual of walking around your bed and licking your face is more than an act of love, she's clearing your space of bad energy. For her it's like chasing a mouse toy... fun, easy and sharpens her predatory instincts and skills."

Verbena continued, "Furthermore, Bowie was meant for you specifically. She's going to have a happy life and part of that is to help you deal with all the personal anxiety in your life. She is very intuitive and loves you!"

That was a relief. "But what's her deal with my boyfriend. He's been around since the beginning and they were getting along and then all of a sudden she started peeing on him!" I told her.

Verbena laughed, "Actually it's not anything against him. She's marking him for you! She knows he's yours."

Makes sense. "What about my friend Amy? She loves people and is very good around strangers, but for some reason she hisses at my friend. I can't understand it, Amy is the only person she does that to."

"I sense some past life energy here. Bowie says that she knew Amy in another form in a previous life. I'm not sure what capacity they were to each other, but Bowie was a lion and Amy somehow hurt her. She knows Amy is your friend but she is wary of her and wants you to be careful."

My sassy little kitten was a lion! A fun tidbit and it struck me as true, Lion was even one of my nicknames for Bowie. After talking to Verbena I felt much better - I wasn't failing as a parent to my baby cat and she didn't hate my boyfriend. Definitely a plus.

Two weeks later, Bowie bolted for the door and ran outside. I grabbed her and brought the cheeky little lion back inside and made an appointment to get her fixed.
