There's a classy charisma about Capricorn celebrities - especially British ones - that never seems to fade (think Cary Grant). Capricorn rules longevity, after all. It's also an Earth sign that exudes sensuality. Capricorn stars have a tantalizingly touchable quality. Young British celebs Orlando Bloom, Jude Law, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller all have this enticing trait, although they each have a unique way of manifesting this earthy energy, as we'll see in their astrology charts.
Orlando Bloom
What you see is what you get with this delectable Capricorn, who co-starred in the blockbuster trilogies The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. Born on January 3, 1977, Bloom's Sun in Capricorn is reinforced by Mercury (brainpower) and Mars (drive) in Cap. Plus, he has Jupiter in Taurus, another Earth sign. The man is straight-forward and genuine and dislikes any form of pretentiousness. It's interesting to note that Capricorn rules the skeletal structure, and one of Bloom's biggest challenges, it seems, is keeping his bones intact. He's suffered numerous breaks over the years - toes, wrist, skull (three times), both legs (in separate accidents), ribs, and even his back when he fell trying to step onto the roof of a friend's house. After the latter accident he was told he wouldn't walk again, but with typical Capricorn determination, Bloom was walking on crutches 12 days later.
Still, Bloom does occasionally get off the ground - his Moon in brainy Gemini and Venus in perceptive Aquarius heighten his intellect and awareness level - Buddhism, yoga and environmentalism are close to his heart. However, the Aquarius influence gives him an independent streak that makes it hard to settle down. He was involved with actress Kate Bosworth (another Capricorn) and is currently with Australian actress Miranda Kerr, a Pisces, although recent reports say they've split up. When he finds his soulmate, however, his Capricorn nature will commit - forever after.
Kate Moss
Born on January 16, 1974, this waif-like supermodel is a wild-child - much less grounded than most Capricorns. Yet somehow she gets away with it! Her Mercury and Venus in avant-garde Aquarius indicate a willful, rebellious streak. She needs plenty of freedom in relationships, which probably contributed to her breakup with Johnny Depp and other high-profile lovers in recent years. On the positive side, Aquarius is the sign of activism, which has prompted her to support cancer research and other causes. Emotionally, Moss's Moon in Scorpio gives her a sexy mystique. It's a sensitive but troubled placement for the Moon and susceptible to substance abuse, a problem Moss has denied - although she reportedly underwent rehab in 2005 - but which keeps the tabloids buzzing, nonetheless. All in all, the mix of Capricorn, Scorpio and Aquarius make this complex Brit a most fascinating creature.
Jude Law and Sienna Miller
Can two Capricorns make a go of it? Perhaps - but it wasn't a match made in heaven for these two stars. Born on December 29, 1972, Law earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of a Confederate soldier in Cold Mountain. The prolific actor has Sun and Jupiter in Capricorn and Moon and Mars in Scorpio. You have only to look into those sultry Moon-in-Scorpio eyes to know the man is trouble. Well, at least two women in his life may have thought so. He began his relationship with Miller while he was still married to his wife, actress Sadie Frost. Obviously Law's Mercury, Venus and Neptune in fiery, freewheeling Sagittarius makes it hard for him to settle down, because after he divorced Frost and became engaged to Miller in 2004, he had an affair with his children's nanny. Then in typical blunt Sagittarius fashion, he issued a public apology to his fiancée for the affair, but the pair broke up shortly thereafter.
As for Miller, she has Sun and Mercury in Capricorn, which says she needs stability. But like Bloom and Moss, she has Venus in Aquarius, which gives her a fondness for unconventional lovers. Her most recent romp with Balthazar Getty is rumored to have broken up the marriage he had with the mother of his four children. She'll need to balance her need for tradition with her desire for freedom in relationships.
Some Capricorns are traditional, while others take a side route along an unconventional path. In both cases, their destiny is to manifest, in a very real way, their talents in the outer world. For Bloom, Moss, Law and Miller, their Capricorn energy is the strength from which their creativity flows.
