Is the world really so simple that there actually is a single answer for its problems? Well, kind of, yes.<\/p>\n

Meditation<\/a> <\/strong>is the key to happiness, prosperity, personal growth and even the development of psychic faculties. A daily practice of meditation \u2013 even for as little as ten minutes a day, as long as the practice is kept up consistently \u2013 will do more for the quality of your life than just about any other activity.<\/p>\n

To begin practicing basic meditation, keep it simple. It\u2019s more important to establish a routine than go for long periods at first. Pick a spot where you live where you will meditate every day<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 a cushion or folded blanket on the ground works, or a chair if you aren\u2019t able to sit cross-legged on the floor. This isn\u2019t necessary, but it helps.<\/p>\n

Now, every day, starting at ten minutes a day, sit here, relax, and stop.<\/em> Ten minutes out of your day won\u2019t kill you; you\u2019ll be able to start worrying about your finances and the opposite sex again after the ten minutes are up.<\/p>\n

Meditation means the cessation of thought. Practice every day at stilling your mind. Focus your mind at the point between your eyebrows, if you like.<\/p>\n

There are many meditation techniques in the world, but it\u2019s best to keep it simple. First, spend a bit of time relaxing. Make sure your body and mind are in a basic state of calm \u2013 try a few deep breaths to let go of any tension you may be experiencing.<\/p>\n

Now, focus at the point between your eyebrows. Let go of all thoughts except for your focus on this point. Just sit and lightly keep your focus here, and let all other thoughts slowly begin to subside. Don\u2019t force anything or try to \u201cclench\u201d your mind\u2026 just slowly let it quiet down of its own accord.<\/p>\n

Achieving a still mind is both the simplest and hardest thing to do in the world. Regular, daily practice at it is the equivalent of weightlifting for the mind and soul. Through the regular practice of meditation, you can expect to increase your mental and emotional calm and focus, which will improve every conceivable area of your life. For the most part, the more you meditate, the easier life gets. If you can increase your practice to a half hour, or even an hour a day, you will be able to see immense benefits.<\/p>\n

But \u2013 and this is important \u2013 don\u2019t stress if you\u2019re too busy to meditate as long as you would like. In fact, don\u2019t stress over anything in your meditation practice. Just do it every day.<\/p>\n
