A man was seated in a coffee shop, he looked a bit like an aging Orson Welles. He was addressing the audience, me. What he said was so profound and I never forgot it. He said, &#8220;Think about the last time you were\u00a0on a beach, and over the water, on the horizon, a full moon began to inch its way up. How many times in your life\u00a0will you ever witness a sight such as this? If you are lucky, maybe 3 or 4 times. Yet how many of us would actually stop what we are doing to enjoy this singular spectacle?&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<div><span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Every day we miss opportunities to actually slow down and cherish our lives. We do it to ourselves.\u00a0 Happiness is not something that just &#8216;happens.&#8217; It is a choice. Anais Nin once wrote that the only way to measure one&#8217;s power in life is to explore the joy with which you live that life, from moment to moment.\u00a0 The past and the future are only figments of the mind, pseudo time, not real.\u00a0 All that truly exists is the &#8220;eternal now.&#8221; This is the only space that our power is absolute. Yet, we all get so bogged down in trivial issues and matters of temporary consequence that we miss those precious moments, many of which will never be repeated, missed. <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>When we slow down the mind and permit\u00a0our worries to dissolve, we are expressing faith, in ourselves and in the universe that all is well. We give ourselves permission to just relax. Beyond that point, there be miracles!<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t miss the precious
