Do you have a specific routine on your day off to treat your inner self or nurture your gift?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like to start the day pretty slow. I don\u2019t think I could be one who jumps up, runs to the shower and is out the door in a half hour.\u00a0It might take me that long just to find my slippers!\u00a0I do a quick stretch and then grab some coffee (cold brew and almond milk).\u00a0I love breakfast, the house is quiet, and I can gather my thoughts for the day.<\/p>\n

I have the best office ever for working from and I spend a few minutes getting centered before I log on for the day. Once I have finished with work, I take our dog, Jackson, out for a walk. The walk helps clear my mind and to reconnect with home life.<\/p>\n

I have a pretty \u201cregular\u201d life to be honest. I run errands, maybe go to the gym, cook some dinner, and hang out with the family and pets. I am married with five grown children and 11 grandkids. In addition, we also have our dog Jackson, three cats, four chickens, and two ducks! That all makes for a very full table at Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is my family\u2019s favorite day!<\/p>\n

Do you have a self-care routine for after being on the line all day?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My self-care routine, and we all need to make self-care a part of our daily routines, is getting outside or to be near water. \u00a0I love to go for walks, especially barefoot. When I can get my feet in to some water, dirt, or grass, I experience a very connected feeling (also called earthing). The ocean is my magical healing place, closely followed by being on a forest path.<\/p>\n

What are fun things that you like to do in your free time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have a ton of ever shifting hobbies, depending on the season. I love to hike and go camping and we do that as frequently as we can. We like to kayak, and I stand up paddle board. In the craft world, I have wonderful ideas and start all kinds of projects that never quite get finished, but I have fun with it anyway. My next project is restoring my \u201cnew\u201d \u201869 VW Beetle.<\/p>\n

I enjoy taking classes, listening to podcasts, and just exposing myself to new things.<\/p>\n

Did you develop your psychic abilities in an interesting way?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Often, people can think that being psychic is a rare gift, but we are all born psychic and we all have various expressions of that.\u00a0Many of us simply forget what we know as we move through life. I actively work on growing and expanding my psychic gifts and work with a mentor (a well-known Psychic Medium, lucky for him, I don\u2019t drop names.)<\/p>\n

Like many psychics, I held on to the gifts we were all born with because I needed those gifts to be able to read into people and situations very quickly. Essentially, it was a survival skill. I have a special kindred relationship with my clients who have all had great hurdles in life and are open to healing their own wounds. That alchemy opens us right up to our connection to Source.<\/p>\n

How does being a psychic affect your day to day life?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have always used my gifts in my daily life, and it took me a very long time to realize that the way I interact with the world around me isn\u2019t really the way most people do.\u00a0For a long time, it perplexed me why people just didn\u2019t know<\/em> things.\u00a0It cracks me up, because I am always the go-to person for lost items in the house, as if I always know where the remote is.<\/p>\n

Did you have a completely different career path in your past?<\/strong><\/p>\n

While I\u2019ve always been psychic, this hasn\u2019t been my only career, though I have always been a healer. I was a nurse originally and loved helping people transition through difficult situations to come out the other side. But I always wanted to help people more independently, and to be able to do what I felt was \u201cthe right thing\u201d by people. So, I left on a journey of self-employment. Fun fact: I started, ran for 19 years, and later sold a tattoo studio. In many ways, that brought a lot of healing to people as well. For example, memorial tattoos were always approached with reverence, and we all could feel that the client\u2019s loved one was right there with us. A lot of laughter and tears were shared in that place.<\/p>\n

I sold the studio after I decided that I needed to slow down my fast-paced life and take care of myself and work a bit with my own healing. I have found that a powerful method of self-healing comes in the form of giving back; giving back to the community, and giving back to our earth tribe, and that is why I am here at California Psychics. It\u2019s my Heart Work.<\/p>\n

Have you helped a client in a memorable way?<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of my most memorable readings, and one that touched my heart was this beautiful soul who called with a quick question about a family member.
