Twenty years ago, columnist Erma Bombeck inspired me to re-invent myself with her prayer that \u201cshe be allowed to use up all her talents before she died.” I couldn\u2019t find any job openings in my field of corporate human resources and chose to follow Erma Bombeck\u2019s words to find my new direction. The talents I only dreamed I might cultivate are flourishing today: intuitive readings, divorce mediation, and stand-up comedy.<\/p>\n

What are some fun things you like to do in your free time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I swim several days a week, which is great exercise but is also the perfect opportunity to write hundreds of jokes. While swimming, I draw from two of my role models, George Carlin and Robin Williams.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m in the third year of a local psychics association, along with a dozen other psychics, that promotes ethics and integrity in offering readings to the general public. I also just gave a Rotary talk in which I discussed my work as a divorce mediator, a psychic, and a comedian.<\/p>\n

Did you ever have a different career path in mind?<\/strong>
\nI spent eight years as a human resources manager for engineering and banking firms where I mediated internal disputes and served as an Ombudsperson. Later, I completed a master\u2019s degree in Conflict Resolution and spent 20 years as a divorce and federal mediator.<\/p>\n

I have since reduced my hours as a divorce mediator, only taking one or two cases a month, and enjoy spending my time reading for California Psychics and doing psychic fairs.<\/p>\n

When did you first realize that you were a psychic?<\/strong><\/p>\n

While I have always been psychic, what originally convinced me that I was psychically gifted was when I met a public figure who everyone seemed to think was wonderful but who filled me with dread.\u00a0 Later, they turned out to be a horrible con artist.<\/p>\n

How did you develop your psychic abilities?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I developed my psychic talents by completing the Silva Method course and practicing on countless Silva grads until I was satisfied with my accuracy regarding workplace and personal relationships and with deceased loves ones.<\/p>\n

How do you clear your mind after being on the line all day?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I meditate daily, pray often for guidance, and watch a lot of baseball when the phone is not ringing. I regard a psychic reading as similar to archery practice, but blindfolded. Baseball pitchers read what their catcher wants, tune out the noise from the fans, ignore any self-doubt, and just deliver what information they are given, so I relate to it.<\/p>\n

Have you helped a client in a memorable way?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve had many wonderful sessions with clients, but here are some of my most memorable ones.<\/p>\n

A police major was on life support, but only his daughter, the only girl with five older brothers, was able to tell the hospital staff that his life support needed to end. The reading I did with her included her father who thanked her for acting on his wishes when the other family members were unable to.<\/p>\n

Another one was a client who had lost both parents and both of her spiritual brothers who knew each other. She provided the first name of the first brother and when I tuned in, he appeared, wearing a white dress shirt. I watched as he slid his hand between the buttons near his heart and pulled out a red bird. I asked the client what this symbolized and she replied,\u201d Cardinal was the name of the second brother that I would be reading next.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third client felt under some pressure to obsessively check on her father\u2019s latest wife upon his passing. This third wife, a difficult personality, was generally fine, but it turned out she had bullied my client\u2019s father during his final years. This reading revealed her father\u2019s regret at his unnecessary request, especially when he shared that being on the Other Side had shown him that this wife was more than able to take care of herself and he apologized to his daughter. \u201cPlease relax about my previous request and just let her own children deal with their mother,\u201d was the message he relayed to his daughter.<\/p>\n
