My husband and I have been together for 10 years and we have two children. My husband has also been lying to me for years. Just this week I found a message he sent to another woman asking to \u201chook up\u201d and calling her his potential third wife. I\u2019m his second wife and he was married once before me. I can\u2019t trust him\u2014obviously.<\/i><\/p>\n

When I confronted my cheating husband, he said that he\u2019s \u201csexually frustrated.\u201d Honestly, sex is the last thing I have on my mind when I know he\u2019s constantly lying to me. I want to keep our family together, but I can\u2019t turn a blind eye to my cheating husband either.<\/i><\/p>\n

What a terribly stressful situation you are experiencing with your cheating husband. I\u2019m so sorry you have to endure this. Please know that his aberrant behavior has nothing to do with you. He is trying to blame his cheating on you, but his wrong choices are not your fault. He was lying to you and cheating on you even when you two were more sexual with one another. Of course, you feel totally turned off to him now. You naturally don’t want to reward your cheating husband with more sex.<\/p>\n

The only way to hold your family together is through couples\u2019 counseling. There is no other viable option. When I tune into your cheating husband, I feel his intention to go right on cheating for as long as he can get away with it. Even though cheating cost him his first wife, and, sadly, may well cost him you too, he has not learned. His lying feels like it\u2019s constant to the point of being extreme. I can sense how incredibly frustrating this is for you.<\/p>\n

On the positive side, it looks like he will realize you mean business, and he will attend therapy with you. I cannot promise perfection, as temptation will entice him to cheat at least once more\u2014sometime during the next two months, with a woman who has a light hair color. But therapy and the threat of losing his family will make him strive to ultimately stop being a cheating husband.<\/p>\n

Through counseling, you will witness enough improvement so that the marriage can hold together\u2014at least until the children are older. He should not expect a guarantee from you that you will stay with him but he doesn\u2019t want to lose you and he will do his best to avoid further cheating. However, he will still have a problem with lying about anything and everything. In the end, you will be the one to decide how long he gets to be with you and the children.<\/p>\n
