The Power of Crystals<\/h4>\n

I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard people talk about crystals<\/strong><\/a> and their mystical powers but do you really know their beneficial uses? Without getting too complex and difficult to understand, I will break it down into three simple questions:<\/p>\n

1. What are crystals?<\/p>\n

2. How can they benefit me?<\/p>\n

3. How should I care for my crystals?<\/p>\n

What are Crystals?<\/h4>\n

Crystals are formed within the earth.<\/strong><\/a> They are living energy. Crystals are so powerful, they are even capable of turning sound into light. Crystals have their own frequency and energy. Each particular type of crystal can access specific energies, with a wide range of beneficial uses including healing, meditation, protection, understanding, intuition, wealth, balance, psychic abilities, cleansing, rebirth and many others. Crystals have been mined and used for thousands of years. They have a long documented history of use in healing work in practically every culture and religious tradition since the beginning of time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Even today, crystals are regularly incorporated for the sole purpose of enhancing the work of healers with their clients. While you may consider crystals to be lifeless, the reality is they contain the very essence of our physical and energetic balance and configuration. Our bodies are a collection of silicone and water, just like crystals. This is precisely why we feel the vibrations of a crystal resonate within us. Therefore, understanding this connection bridges the gap to understanding the communication and connection of the higher levels of consciousness and existence we feel in the presence of crystals.<\/p>\n

How Can They Benefit Me?<\/h4>\n

Crystals can enhance, promote and even call forth energies. For instance, rose quartz is a specific nurturing energy (a mother love stone). If you are feeling blue and you hold a cleansed, charged rose quartz, you would begin to harmonize with the frequency of the crystal and absorb the feelings of love, balance and healing. Tourmaline helps at times of change. There are different types of Tourmaline: Black deflects negativity and assists with creativity and grounding, green helps with visualization, attunement, transformation and psychic abilities, and watermelon is for energizing, healing and the emotional system. Topaz brings love, success and creativity. Amber heals, strengthens and protects. Amethyst aids in stability, strength and peace.<\/p>\n

Choose a stone for its properties and essence. Crystal influences are associated with a Chakra center, a healing vibration and a Zodiac sign. Crystals are the magnet for attracting balance, success, health, love, money, career, honor and wealth. They help in opening ourselves to achieving our destiny. In their natural form, they are the most powerful. When crystals are cut, shaped and polished they can lose their natural force. However, if the piece you like has been shaped and polished, working and wearing the stone will bring energy and life back to the stone and it will perform in its natural function. The best way to choose the right crystal for you is to let your intuition guide you. Place your crystal in your bedroom or in your work space to feel a tremendous impact or simply carry one in your pocket for protection. Don\u2019t forget to keep one at work too. The law of attraction indicates that like attracts like, so the change in one\u2019s disposition will subsequently influence one\u2019s co-workers as well.<\/p>\n

How Should I Care for My Crystals?<\/h4>\n

It is necessary for you to not only cleanse but also charge your crystal. Cleansing can be done thought soaking the crystal in sea salt and water (about 7 hours every 2 weeks should suffice) but only if the crystal can sustain the sea salt (for some crystals the sea salt is too harsh or may chip the crystal). You can use a pendulum to help you determine when the crystals are ready to come out of the bath. When you pour off the salt water, do not touch the water or you will be transferring the negative energies back onto yourself. Rinse off any salt residue from your crystals and then let them drip dry on a paper towel or hand towel.<\/p>\n

Other ways to cleanse are by smudging crystals with sage, sweetgrass or incense (be sure to use a feather to fan the smoke over your crystal rather than your hand so as to not receive the negative energy). Be sure to smudge yourself or rinse your hands in sea salt water to clear your negative energies, especially after handling the crystals.<\/p>\n

You will need to first activate your crystal (wake it up, so to speak) by rolling it in your hands back and forth, sleeping with it, gazing at it, washing it and handle it. Now it\u2019s time to charge the crystal. The Sun’s and Moon’s rays are very energizing as well as energy clearing. Find a safe place to leave your crystal for up to 24 hours in sunlight or moonlight. If your crystal is prone to fading, use only moonlight. You will know it is time to recharge your crystal when there is a dullness or cloudiness within it. However, it is best to charge after each use.<\/p>\n

Trust your intuition or higher self<\/strong><\/a> in leading you to know which crystal is best for you and which cleansing and charging method is best for your crystal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
