Goal Setting for 2013<\/h4>\n

It\u2019s coming again\u2014the day of habitually setting New Year\u2019s resolutions<\/strong><\/a>, now for 2013. You look back to 2012 and notice you have achieved many of your goals! Kudos to you! If you see that you might have fallen short on a few of them last year, rather than lament and give up, it’s a great time for reigniting the passion of your goals, reinventing yourself and moving forward.<\/p>\n

The following method is one of my favorite ways to set and achieve goals<\/strong><\/a>. I get to update it regularly, adjust and modify it, play with it and have fun while achieving what it is that I’m up to. After all, it\u2019s so much about our intentions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here’s what to do when playing the goal-setting game:<\/p>\n

1. Declare exactly what you want.<\/strong> Write it down and make it measurable. Want to lose weight<\/strong><\/a>? Declare how much you will lose and by when. You\u2019ll be your ideal weight by a specific date in time.<\/p>\n

2. Make a list and organize it into an action plan,<\/strong> and then…<\/p>\n

3. Take action immediately.<\/strong> There will be something that you can do immediately after your declaration. Just go and do it!<\/p>\n

4. Do something every day that allows you to move towards your goal.<\/strong> Ask yourself, \u201cWhat would it take for me to…?\u201d and then allow the Universe<\/strong><\/a> and your intentions to move you in that direction. When you get an \u201cintuitive hit\u201d on it, take the actions.<\/p>\n

And most importantly…<\/p>\n

5. Have fun with this.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Setting goals and following through on them needs to be fun and sprinkled with a bit of lightheartedness. Goal setting needs to be something that inspires and lights you up, not something that becomes a \u201cshould\u201d or weighs you down. If the latter is the case, it’s best to reassess and reevaluate your goals. They may not be in alignment with your higher purpose<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Goals that are in alignment with your higher purpose will invigorate, inspire and naturally move you towards the necessary actions.<\/p>\n

Just remember the words of W. Clement Stone, \u201cAll personal achievement starts in the mind of the individual. Your personal achievement starts in your mind. The first step is to know exactly what your problem, goal or desire is.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
