I keep dreaming of my ex-husband<\/a><\/strong>. In this dream, I\u2019m on a long, straight road which has tall buildings on either side. I can see him at the end of the road, but it\u2019s at a junction, and he can only go across the end of my road. He can\u2019t come down my road to meet me. We are both calling out to each other, but however fast I go, I can\u2019t reach him. Why can\u2019t we get to each other?<\/em><\/p>\n

I think your dream points to some unfinished business with your ex. There is a need, at least for you (and maybe for him as well) to connect with each other, to come to a resolution about your relationship, perhaps. But for some reason, you\u2019re both unable to do that. He can\u2019t come down your road, meaning he\u2019s unable to truly connect with you, to understand where you\u2019re coming from. He\u2019s stuck at the end of the road (end of your relationship). The junction may symbolize his new path, which doesn\u2019t include your relationship. And however hard you try, you\u2019re unable to reach him. Maybe the reason for the block is the inability to understand (and respect) each other\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

It may be time to meet in the middle, so to speak. That is, to each take responsibility for the problems that led to the end of the relationship. Forgiveness may be part of this step. If you can respect the path your ex has chosen (for whatever reason), and release any negative feelings you have toward him, then you\u2019ll have taken a big step toward closure.<\/p>\n
