One of the experiences I had some years ago opened me to really accepting that God talks to us through intuition.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n It began on a pretty day, the sun was shining<\/a><\/strong>, and I decided to just get in my car and drive. No destination, just GO! I listened to music as I wound down this road and that, when I realized I had left the city I started from and entered the one my uncle lived in.<\/p>\n As I sat at a light, wondering why I had driven so far and why I was in this particular town, I heard a still, small voice say: “Go see your uncle.”<\/p>\n I had gone to see him recently, and though he lived alone, he seemed to be doing very well. I thought back: “I have! I visited him two weeks ago!”<\/p>\n The light changed, I drove on, thinking to head for home, when the voice came again: “Go see your uncle.”<\/p>\n Once again, I resisted it, but it was beginning to bother me that this voice was persisting. I thought of the Sunday School lessons where I’d been taught that the Holy Spirit speaks to us in a “still, small voice.” I was suddenly filled with the realization that this could be exactly what was happening, and with a growing sense of urgency, turned my car toward my uncle’s home.<\/p>\n As I walked toward his front door, I saw that it was ajar, and I began to feel really worried. I called his name. He came to the door. He was stark naked. His eyes seemed glazed over. Horrified, I asked him what the matter was. He did not speak a word. He simply turned around and walked back inside. I noticed it was dark in there; not a light on anywhere.<\/p>\n I stood in the doorway, stunned. I knew something was terribly wrong with him. In my shock I watched him as he walked unsteadily toward his sofa bed in the middle of his living room.<\/p>\n Trying to grasp what was the matter with him, and quell my rising anxiety, I took a couple of steps inside. I watched as he slowly got onto his bed. It had a plastic sheet cover on it, and there was a pool of liquid there in the middle of the bed. My fear that he was in terrible trouble was confirmed when he slid into it as though it weren’t there.<\/p>\n I fought off panic and looked around for a phone, only he didn’t have one. I had to run to a neighboring house to have them call an ambulance.<\/p>\n Once at the hospital, he was diagnosed as having had a stroke. Thankfully, he survived it.<\/p>\n I wondered about this incident for a long time afterward. I had so many questions: Is this how God works through the Holy Spirit? Was I unknowingly guided into my uncle’s city when I thought I was just on a fun outing? Did my uncle “transmit” his thoughts to me in some way? Did Spirit really speak to me, somehow? Was it possible to have steady guidance from Spirit?<\/p>\n In time I got my answer to each question, and it was “yes.”<\/p>\n I began paying attention to that voice, and never resisted it again. I felt guided to explore my intuition further, hoping to help others with it. Clinging to the scripture that says the Holy Spirit will show us things to come, I began reading countless books in my search to develop this gift of Grace. I sought out teachers, practiced meditation, took classes to find tools and ways to strengthen this bond. I discovered that a prayerful mind keeps one in a meditative state and opens us to our direct connection with Spirit.<\/p>\n To this day I see intuition as God speaking to us, and I am grateful each time He does.<\/p>\n I feel this experience, among others, helped open the door for me to become a professional psychic. Empowering others to see what life holds for them and how to best get what they hope to attain gives me great joy.
