If you’re reading this, it’s more than likely that you have already signed up for AARP\u2014within the magazine and monthly newsletter for the almost senior and senior crew<\/a><\/strong>, there are many interesting articles about love, money and life\u2026<\/p>\n

Getting older with grace and dignity<\/a><\/strong> is something that us over-fifty crew are doing with flying colors. More and more, over-fifty folks are talking about love and life and how to make it all work without the energy of being a twenty-year-old. Heck I wouldn\u2019t mind the energy I had at thirty, either.<\/p>\n

The facts are, libidos change in both of the sexes. Men and women have many issues to deal with, as the body is not what it used to be, the mindsets are more stabilized, and it’s just not as easy to meet qualified people anymore.<\/p>\n

Many people in this age range have lost a loved one or are divorced. This gives such a scare to all of us as confidence dies down, and being termed a cougar just doesn\u2019t seem to feel right for this group of women. Men have to deal with the little blue pill, making planning an issue when it comes to going out on a date and maybe getting lucky. Sorry about that\u2014some things never change!<\/p>\n

Many women have not engaged in love making since their divorce or the passing of their husband. How does one get back on the bike? One thing that’s very true is that once you learn how to ride, you never forget\u2014what a wonderful experience it could be having that special connection once again! It’s a different world after being married for twenty or thirty years, and it’s not easy having to start over. Does one go on the Internet? Take up dancing or engage in community activities and mixers? How do you deal with an older gent looking for a younger woman? Honestly, you don\u2019t: as the saying goes, \u201cthere\u2019s no fool like an old fool,\u201d so if he’s playing, rest assured he is paying.<\/p>\n

The good news is that you are like a fine bottle of wine; through the aging process you have become sweeter and better than ever. Men have become more aware of the need to give to the lady, and the unselfishness of the youthful male is gone. Giving and pleasing the woman becomes the male’s focus. By now, women understand their personal needs and bodies\u2014never be on top, as Dorothy from the Golden Girls pointed out to Blanch, giving her a mirror and telling her to look downward into it. We find a way to position ourselves so that our best assets are shown off. Our box of skills, humor and wisdom make an over fifty woman very special. We are softer, sweeter and more experienced.<\/p>\n

I look around at my circle of friends<\/a><\/strong> and really, nothing has changed\u2014we carry on.<\/p>\n
