Emma Turner was trying to give Alfie his medication when he repeatedly headbutted her in the chest.\u00a0The five-year-old Cotswold, which is normally well behaved, had to be held down by Ms Turner and two others.\u00a0When Ms Turner the resulting bruises checked by a doctor, she was found to be in the early stages of breast cancer.<\/p>\n

\u2018The doctors and nurses said that if Alfie hadn\u2019t done what he did, when he did it, I wouldn\u2019t have found the lump for a few years, by which time it would have spread,\u2019 said the 41-year-old.\u00a0\u2018Everyone at the hospital is convinced that Alfie saved my life.\u2019<\/p>\n

Following the diagnosis, Ms Turner endured six cycles of chemotherapy over the course of four months.\u00a0She will now have a mastectomy to remove the tumour.\u00a0Ms Turner, who works on a farm in Wooton Bassett, Wiltshire, rescued Alfie when his mother died during birth and said he had now repaid the favor.\u00a0The shepherd has since set up a Facebook page for the psychic sheep, which has attracted hundreds of fans.<\/p>\n

\u2018Alfie is normally really well behaved but that particular day he went nuts and it took three of us to hold him down.\u00a0A lot of people think what he did was deliberate. It\u2019s very odd because he has never done it since,\u2019 she added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
