When I learned of my brother’s illness two years ago, I began dreaming about and having visits from a man I dated back when I was 18, who <\/span><\/span>passed away<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>. In the dreams he comforted me, and we were both so happy again. I knew in the back of my mind that I was 50 years old now, but in the dream, he was still 19. The dreams\/visits are always happy. I am very sensitive psychically, and I have seen this man in my home, can smell his shampoo and cologne, and can feel him literally holding me while I sleep. When my brother passed, the dreams and visits continued. Am I losing my mind?<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m very sorry you lost your brother. And you’re certainly not losing your mind by thinking you’re being comforted by your deceased friend. Actually, it sounds like you have a friend in the afterlife who remembers your time together and loves you still. Although the dreams might be just wishful thinking for someone to comfort you, I believe the visitations are real and that you sense his presence. Sometimes when we’re distressed, especially if a death is involved, a loved one from the other side<\/strong><\/a> will appear to us, usually through a dream, to let us know we’re not alone and that death does not sever the ties of love. <\/p>\n

One thing to consider, though. You indicated you’re a Cancer<\/strong><\/a>, a sign known to be strongly connected to the past. It’s important that you stay involved with life through your activities, goals and the people you care about. As you heal from the loss of your brother, the visits from your friend may cease, but know that he’s still connected to you, and that you’ll meet up again someday.<\/p>\n
