Those of us who love gemstones find wearing them to be a comfort on
\nmany levels. Not only do these lovely stones look beautiful, but their
\nresonance brings a level of knowing comfort that can be extremely
\ngrounding. To follow up on my previous posts, For the Love of Gemstones<\/strong><\/a>, and Benefits of Gemstones<\/strong><\/a>, today we look at how to wear them in order to maximize their potential.<\/p>\n

Your left side is the receiving side, which gains information from
\noutside your aura. By wearing certain gemstones on the left, you can
\nhelp control the effects of the environment on you. The right side of
\nyour body is the productive, active side. Wearing gemstones there can
\ndirectly influence actions and outcomes.<\/p>\n

With this knowledge, let’s look at wearing rings on the fingers.
\nThumbs want to be free, in order to help to do your will. Therefore,
\nit’s a good idea to keep this finger ring-free. The pointer finger
\ninfluences communication, desires, and dreams. Carnelian is great for
\nthis purpose. The left pointer influences incoming communications and
\ndesires — when worn on the left pointer finger, Sodalite and
\nChrysocolla help to calm and relax<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The middle finger is the intuitive and inspirational finger. Wear
\nrings such as Amethyst or Crystals, which inspire intuition. The
\nfourth, or traditional ring finger, is the creative one. The left
\nfourth finger brings creativity and inspiration inward. The tradition
\nof wearing engagement and wedding rings here is not an accident, for
\nthis sends vibrations straight to the heart.<\/p>\n

The little finger is for change and opportunity. Wear suitable
\nstones on the right hand to influence change such as Aventurine – this
\nis great for bringing new opportunities your way. On the left, wear
\nstones that will aid in accepting changes, such as Turquoise, which
\nwill aid in calming nervous <\/strong>energy<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for bracelets, it’s best to wear gems that protect, on the wrist.
\nStones such as Turquoise, Coral or Shells help to release body
\nstresses. Many people cannot wear quartz wristwatches because they
\nreact adversely to their body’s rhythms.<\/p>\n

Gemstones worn on the upper body will affect personality. It is best
\nto wear stones that help build self-esteem, like pearls. Good stones to
\nwear as earrings are Tiger’s Eyes or Jade. Sapphires and Garnet are
\nalso great for upper body wearing. Opals and Lapis Lazuli have high
\nenergy that should not be worn on necklaces, earrings, or hair clips —
\nbecause of their high energy they can cause spaciness or dizziness.<\/p>\n
