\"Death\"So often, I can feel my clients shudder at the notion that the Death Card<\/a><\/strong> has appeared. Our will to live is so strong, that just the word alone causes an automatic response of fear. Yet, the Tarot<\/strong><\/a> is not a literal oracle, it is symbolic. Birth, Life, Death, and finally Rebirth is the cycle of our existence. Our emotional worlds reflect this same path.<\/p>\n

What the Death Card is really telling you is that a new way of life is about to unfold. Whatever it is that has happened, all of it is behind you now. It is a time of growth and a moment when you will be released from past hurts and issues that may have plagued you all your life. It means, whatever has held you back in the past will no longer have any power over you.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Sometimes letting go of what is behind us can be painful. Yet, it is this letting go that opens up new possibilities and allows us to let joy back into out lives. Once this ‘past life’ is let go of, often there is a brief period of childlike wonder. Suddenly, it seems you can see your life and your heart blossoming again. The world is full of wonder — you\u2019re amazed at how differently you perceive yourself and the world around you.<\/p>\n

The Death Card represents the end of a journey you have outgrown. It also represents a new journey — one that is completely different from the road you have walked thus far. It means new life is about to unfold. When the Death Card appears in a spread, it implies that you are about to experience total and complete transformation. It is telling you, \u201cYou are ready now to move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m always quite excited to see the Death Card in a spread, because it means whoever I\u2019m reading for is about to be reborn. Whatever or whoever they are holding on to that has caused pain or hurt they can let go of it now. It is a moment when they have the opportunity to embrace a new beginning.<\/p>\n

Now that we have entered the New Year, take heart, appreciate all that has occurred, all you have achieved and all you still wish for. Also, be grateful for the gift of life and the glorious notion that life always, brings hope. Let go and let yourself free fall. Life is a series of wondrous cycles … remember that old song, “(Don\u2019t Fear) The Reaper.”<\/p>\n
