Self-Deception: When We Don’t See Ourselves Honestly

Self-Deception: Have You Been Lying to Yourself?

How do you know what’s real and what isn’t? Is your truth truthful or is it just a perception? Yes, perception and truth are related. In fact, our truths are often created by our perceptions of the world. But this means our truths aren’t always true. You could be lying to yourself and those lies are what has been keeping you from moving forward. We’re talking about self-deception.

Besides lying to ourselves, self-deception inhibits personal growth. It allows us to make excuses and place blame on others. It keeps us from taking personal responsibility. It also keeps us from making positive changes in our lives.

Take an honest look at your life and start changing for the better. Get a psychic reading today!

Repercussions

The human mind is an awesome organ indeed. It can solve almost any problem or meet any challenge, but it can also be a dangerous place where all sorts of negative and destructive thought can occur—and often at subconscious levels. What can seem like a rational explanation could just as easily be a lie you tell yourself to make your reality seem less painful. Right now, you could be lying to yourself about your health, your career or you romantic relationship!

Stop lying to yourself! Psychic Chastity ext. 5403 can show you how!

When you cannot admit your faults and mistakes, you take away the opportunities to grow from them. Inevitably, you will continue to perpetuate the self-deception and the problems and dissatisfaction that come from them. It’s an endless cycle unless you do something about it!

Positive Projection

Admitting your faults and negative traits does not give you the freedom to wallow in them! Your thoughts have power and focusing only on your problems will just perpetuate more of them. You need to own up to everything and start doing the work to fix things. Try positive projection.

Learn positive self-talk during a reading with Psychic Amanda ext. 5605!

Positive projection is an easy exercise you can do anytime, anywhere. It simply requires that you take an aspect of yourself you’d like to work on, think about the changes you’d make to improve things and then visualize the new-and- improved version of you. Project that new image of yourself on a screen in your mind. It’s a wonderful way to propel yourself down the path to self-improvement.

Make time for these visualization activities daily. When you take control of your life and make these changes, rather than subsisting on self-deception, you’ll be amazed by how much power you have to create the life your spirit truly needs.

Lift your spirit and take a step in the right direction. Psychic Quinn ext. 5484 know what path you’re meant to be on!

This is intense, spiritual work. It’s challenging and it requires patience, perseverance and a real desire for a better life and spirit. Remember, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” If you can’t be honest with yourself, how can you begin to improve your life? Take the first step today and take an honest look at yourself—warts and all. And if you get stuck, call a psychic for guidance!

Regarding self deception and lying to ones self, although perception and truth are somewhat corelated Excuses and Reasons are two different animals altogether. I am always honest with myself something the false positivism the world practices and half ass truths about Karma the Law of Attraction, the Opus Mantras and even ESP (for entertainment purpose’s only usually is not) truthful with themselves, in their dealings, in their teachings, or with each other. If I am to blame for certain issues, incidents or mishaps be it in my own life or in my dealings with others I am always willing to apologize and physically do anything within reason to correct or right my wrongs. ON the other hand for someone to piss on my head, and tell me its raining or sabotage the work of my hands and have the audacity to take a step further in the left of hand path of wronging me futher is a coupon for a free ass whipen, via the spirit realm, an ink pin, or a steel boot to the head with a foot in it. The bottom line here your gifts your talents are not real they are for entertainment purposes. I can go to the Circus to be entertained but I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to clown me. Thank you.

Spot on, Alina! We cannot move forward or create what we really want if we are deceiving ourselves about who we are, what we desire or what we currently have.

A lot of people have difficulty admitting mistakes or fault because they subconsciously believe it will make them appear to be a “bad” person, yet we all make mistakes; it is a part of the human experience.

Taking responsibility for our lives begins with honest assessment of ourselves and our circumstances. If we don’t admit where we are, how can we possibly expect to change?

    Great advice!

    Brightest blessings,
    Seren

Nice article , to read, it is very difficult to practice, but right from my child hood Iam practicisng it, recently In India a leader known as Mr.Arvind Khajriwal he started to eradicate Corruption he could not able to fight with the Goverment of India hence He started a party known as Aam Admi Party and contesting in the Lok sabha election I am supporter of Him If every individual started to practice like then the world will be peace full. When I went to become a member three things were mentioned where we must dust our legs 1)leave your Ego here 2) leave your anger here 3) leave your jealusnes here.

I have had problems when I “tout” my horn after people put me down. I have been told all my life that I’m beautiful or very beautiful; I was offered to be made into an actress in Hollywood and offered representation at several modeling agencies. I am also very bright; I got into Mensa 10 years ago, was and am a straight-A student, and was a star student at an Ivy League school. I have had some people that put me down, claiming I’m not really beautiful and I’m not that intelligent, either – that it’s “self-deception.” This is nonsense.
Everyone has faults. But it’s not for anyone to say who you really are and that you’re deluded – particularly when it comes to jealousy. Also, when it comes to romantic relationships, when you’re in love with someone you perceive them in a positive way – and don’t see those faults – as much as you see the person’s assets because you’re in love with that person. Or the faults don’t bother you that much. So for a guy to put me down and then expect me to marry him is ludicrous. People want people that are on their side in life.
