Renew Your Body, Mind and Soul

Remember to Recharge and Renew Yourself

Many of us forget to take time to rejuvenate ourselves and give ourselves a break from the daily grind. It is imperative that we take small breaks in life, whether it is half an hour a day or weeks at a time. When we put the care of our mind, body and soul as a first priority, we have the chance to become stronger and more efficient when it comes to taking care of daily tasks and the ones we love.

Everyone needs a time-out and this is not only meant for your body—your mind and soul need quiet time as well. Here are some simple ways you can renew your mind, body and soul.

Take Time to Care for Yourself

Put aside time in your schedule that will allow you to do things for your own self-care such as deep tissue massages, meditation, hygienic duties, a yoga class, beauty tactics and practicing mindfulness. Whatever you enjoy doing for yourself, do it. Do not place yourself at the bottom of your priority list. If you are not feeling strong inside and out, you are not going to be much help to others.

Many people find some relief when they meditate. Meditation can renew your soul when you feel as though you are broken, tired and lost. Find a quiet place for yourself and make yourself comfortable. Pillows, a yoga mat, soft music and perhaps some white cleansing candles can all help you get into a meditative mood.

Take a Vacation or Go on a Retreat

When was the last time you went on vacation? This is not to mean a vacation where you have planned and organized everything and you are taking care of everyone else throughout the time away. Take a vacation or retreat made just for you. Check out available relaxation and rejuvenating retreats that involve being in nature, having spiritual experiences and participating in group activities.

Get Outdoors

One of the best ways to renew your body, mind and soul is to spend some time by a rolling river, on warm beach sands, or overlooking mountain tops and lush flora. It may sound like unwanted activity when you are trying to rest your body, but at the end of the day you will feel invigorated because you’ve got your heart pumping and blood moving. This is healthy for your body.

Practice Self-Healing Techniques

One of the best ways to renew and revitalize your mind, body and soul is to start practicing self-healing. For your body and physical self, start eating clean and treating your body better. Eat more vegetables and fruits, drink more water and get exercise whenever possible.

For your soul, maybe it is time to return to church on Sundays or be outside in nature. Meditation, breathing techniques, chakra healing, energy work and practicing unconditional love are all beneficial for the soul to renew itself.

When it comes to the mind, it is a great idea to rid yourself of any negative energy. When our minds become full of garbage and negativity, we can begin to feel smothered, lost, unhappy and unfulfilled. Visualization and meditation can help release negative thinking patterns and energy so that you can fill your mind with positive healing and thoughts for brighter days ahead.

    Great suggestions Natasha!

Especially the one about Getting Outdoors. If you live in a city and don’t have the resources to get out of town, consider taking a walk in a local park.

Many parks have ponds and fountains and trees. Just being around nature, even for an hour can prove rejuvenating.

    Thank you Natasha!

Bring back the articles. They were the best part of my day. Sometimes it’s good to be reminded about simple things that you take for granted. Your articles did that.

I used to love reading the short articles written by some of your psychics (Red, Liam and others) Now you’ve just stopped having any other articles on here at all. Please bring back
the daily writings. We all miss them. There’s more to life than fluff about love and careers and attracting the opposite sex.

I don’t care.I only care about my son in the hospital. He is 63 years of age. His twin brother died 20 months ago. My son Brian was born March 8, 1950.

Thank you for reminding us to go to church. Finding a church that meets your needs and where you feel accepted and comfortable isnt always easy, but just keep looking until you do! Its out there! None of us get throughh this life very well without God. I am very thankful for my support group at church, especially now that I’m going through a divorce and some other personal losses. Its been very hard. Couldnt make without the support and prayers of my connection group from church. Love and blessings!

Thank you for some great reminders. Being a nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Reiki practioner as will as a life coach have recently realized that I have let my emotional bank account run dry.

Beginning today I am going to make a conscious effort to refuel and refresh by taking some retreat time from my daily routine, perhaps build a snowman, am currently making homemade chicken noodle soup an am just shutting off the phone and computer and stop with email, texting, etc and enjoy ME time…As was mentioned in your great article when we let our selves begin to run on empty, we are not able to really BE THERE for service and love of others..

Thanks again for some great reminders…:0)
