10 Signs It’s Time to Walk Away

It’s summer, and the living is supposed to be easy… but you’re the Captain of Stressville. You only know it’s summer because the kids are tugging on you for more spending money, and the summer Fridays just went into effect at work… which means you can now leave the office at five p.m. instead of nine.

What’s worse – a job driving you off the ledge, or an unsupportive partner? Here are a few signs it’s time to take care of yourself and make a change as the season heats up!

  1. Your boss or partner has poor time management, and no respect for tasks you need to complete.
  2. Your boss/partner quotes your ideas and stories verbatim and doesn’t give you credit.
  3. You have completely different ideas than your partner or boss about how to move forward, whether it’s about a vacation or getting a promotion.
  4. A major life-changing event has happened, and there has been a huge lack of understanding and support to give you the tools you need to get through it.
  5. Your body is being negatively effected – weight gain or loss, mental frustration, and a feeling of being trapped, with no way of solving even the smallest issues.
  6. Verbal abuse doesn’t even register to you anymore, but other people have noticed you being abused and pulled you aside to let you know you have their support.
  7. Your goals have simply changed, and you can’t reach them in your current relationship.
  8. You’re unappreciated or underpaid, and a better opportunity has come along that highlights that fact undisputedly.
  9. You’re bored.
  10. There’s no trust left between you and your boss or partner. The other party doesn’t have your back.

You deserve better than this. Life is too short to keep cutting yourself short of happiness. Take some time for yourself, take a step back and think about what’s really important to you. When was the last time you did that? Everyone deserves to be happy. If you’re not already, start taking steps to get there, and you will. If you read this far, you know that something isn’t right, and it’s time to admit it to yourself and take action.

What’s your first step?

Thank you for writing this. I know something is wrong; I’m sad all the time and I cry often. That’s not who I am. You’re rightj I deserve to be happy and I have to take action. I really needed this right now… Thank you.

Hi colleen – My problem is Relationships with partners that doesn’t seem to want their partners to do well in their personal life,to see them achieve good things in life because sometimes achievements complete our lives….somehow..

    Hi Colleen,

Too often it is when we are at this point in life, weather it be relationship or job, career, that leaving tends to be such a big hurdle, many times we can evaluate the leaving process for months….This is when getting a psychic reading is so beneficial, it allows one to become clear on weather or not leaving would be the correct move or not.

One thing to remember is that when-ever you start to doubt where you are, this is universe, your guides, the creator, gods way of telling you it is time for you to move on, many times when you feel that something is not right with your career, usually its not nor will it get better anytime soon.

When you have experienced the lesson that was to be learned, then it is time for you to move on to the next, it is a sign…. its not that you may be doing the wrong thing, its just that you are done with that chapter of your life, so….there is something great and exciting waiting to come in your life.

The best way to look at change is to embrace it!

    Blessings and Big Hugs!
